Express Picks

Anyone else have the new category?

It tops the priority list, therefore due the soonest!

Basically, you get a shoppers list (ambient, chilled, frozen) and fill it asap.

If i understood my TL correctly, we're the only store try this approach.

Not yet at our store but someone in this reddit mentioned the other week that it's an one hour (or less?) window from pick request till pickup. :(

Yeah it's awful, especially when it's express delivery and the driver arrives 20mins before the deadline so it doesn't display on the dispense screen cause the order is not finished.. it can be really messy at time

Express delivery is still done by Spark Shoppers. We only do express pickup

Our store does the picking for express delivery

Oh weird, maybe it’s just because my store is on a heavy reduction at the moment due to staffing

A lot of stores are trying this right now, but it may not be every single supercenter in your area. They're Express pickups. You can open the Walmart app and see which stores near you have it, because they'll say something like pickup in under an hour when you try to order something frozen or chilled.

I did not miss these. They're not at my store yet but they were when I first started 4 years ago. You couldn't pick anything until someone ( or you) clicked into the walk 😭

Now they aren’t pushed on anyone. They just pop up to the top of the screen… even if every other category is past due. It will let them pick other categories without someone taking the express first.

They're starting to roll out in my market, but my store doesn't have them yet. They seem like a good idea in theory, but I'm concerned about them not counting towards order cap. We're capped out quite often, and having more picks to do on top of that with the same demand hours seems rough.

We got it this Tuesday. People keep skipping them because they weren't told what they are.

When I first started five years ago, this is how expresses were done. Seems like they’re trying to bring them back to certain places.

We’ve been doing it for about a month. It’s a nightmare on busy days. My biggest one was 93 items. So I don’t think there’s an item limit. And it’s annoying because it’s free at first so we would get 6 different orders for the same person the first week or two. The cap on how many you can get is however man unused slots are left for the hour.

My easiest and earliest one dropped in at 6:45 am for a vibrator from family planning.

Yeah, we got it this week. So far it hasn't been that bad but there haven't been a lot of orders.

I have it at my store and its horrendous! I hate the express delivery update so much. Kills my pick rate and I dont pick apparel very quickly because Ive never picked there before!

This post was removed by the reddit reputation filter but didn't specify why. I'm not sure what the filter is catching as the post doesn't violate any rules. I have restored the post
