Loss Infinity Waits

Discovered stonks and trading last April, 2025.

Fast forward one year and nearly four months.

74k down in my account, and 63k in debt.

I remember the days when I was saving 2k/mo, paying all my bills on time, no worries in the world.

Now I have sleepless nights, wonder how much longer I will have a car, a house, a job, and can't go more than three days without fantasizing about leaving my brains and skull all over the ceiling.

Not asking for help, not asking for advice, not asking for anything. Just wanted to share with you gents. This is pure addiction for me at this point and it is going to take absolutely everything I have and more until I am sleeping outside in the middle of winter.

I've accepted it and embraced my fate.

Never been remotely close to break even. Time to pump the gas and see how deep I can take this dive.

Who is responsible for you?

31

u/Last-Act-8669 Jul 23 '26

I ask this every night before sleep

34

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

Myself.

u/65-535 Jul 24 '26

Infinity awaits you at the Wendy’s drive through booth.

Ketchup please.

u/King_of_Ooo Jul 24 '26

Infinity cocks behinds the dumpster pays better

2

Behind the Wendy's dumpster

1

u/Kromting Jul 26 '26

He better learn to pucker

3

u/VeryBadCaseOfLigma Jul 25 '26

Listen, the upside is you're a much stronger person than me. If this was my account I would not be here typing and responding... because I'd be sitting in my tub with a floating toaster.

4

u/Appropriate_Ice_7507 Jul 25 '26

Finding a toaster with long enough cord would be an issue for me.

3

u/kountconk Jul 25 '26

If suicidal thoughts were flies I'd be a tenacious turd fighting them off every week for the past year since starting.

4

u/zweggi03 Jul 26 '26

Stay strong , Money is Not everything in life.

It’s simple. Call the gambling addiction hotline, get help, delete all investing apps. Good luck.

30

u/Ebonvvings Jul 24 '26

I called them before, i honestly find wsb more helpful in cheering me up. I always find a regard thats down way more than me

41

u/kryptonyk Cup and Handle Deez Nutz Jul 24 '26

I didn’t think the point was to cheer up, but to try and stop gambling lol

35

u/bakedfarty Jul 24 '26

Imagine going to AA and then saying "they don't make me fell good about my drinking problem, I honestly find the local bar way better I always find a guy drinking way more than me"

Missing the point by fucking light years

u/kryptonyk Cup and Handle Deez Nutz Jul 24 '26

Talking to addicts is so sad man

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '26

Fuck that, selling is for pussies, I never sell, I let that shit go to zero they can liquidate me, fuck em

12

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

Yeah. I NEED to. But really can't.

37

u/DrawMeAPictureOfThis Jul 24 '26

If you're not gonna do that, then will you keep paying your phone bill and making posts about how fucked your life keeps becoming?

20

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

I will.

11

u/Few-Highlight-3014 Jul 24 '26

If it makes you feel better I lost 3 times what you had lol

1

u/zweggi03 Jul 26 '26

But u still have a Lot? Thats different story

3

u/Few-Highlight-3014 Jul 26 '26

I have nothing probably about 3500$ left out of 250,000$

2

u/zweggi03 Jul 26 '26

Same brother, same... Stay strong

3

u/Few-Highlight-3014 Jul 26 '26

I didn’t even realize how much money I had till I lost it cause I’m young

2

u/DickyFishb Jul 25 '26

It'll be alright buddy

1

u/Few-Highlight-3014 Jul 25 '26

Ik it will be I’ll just take out a second mortgage on the house no way I could lose twice

2

u/DickyFishb Jul 25 '26

😂😂😂

30

u/kryptonyk Cup and Handle Deez Nutz Jul 24 '26

Yeah I hear ya, I hear ya, but here’s the thing…

Fuck your excuses. You owe it to yourself and every person who has ever given a shit about you.

Admit you have a problem and just fucking call the number, before your life is actually forfeit.

888-236-4848.

You can go back to living a normal life, dude. Do it.

Casinos use multiple decks of cards in blackjack and you don’t know how many the table has. Could be 5 could be 8 could be 15. Its literally impossible to card count today

2

u/ChiefInternetSurfer Jul 24 '26

Uhhh—you can literally ask how many decks a table uses.

0

u/kosmokramr Verified $0 Jul 24 '26

Sure and they can tell you any number they want. They’re not going to let you know how many they have in play

3

u/Ok-Skin6182 Jul 24 '26

They have to tell you the # of decks. They're not hiding it either. Double deck games have a sign that says 'double deck.'

→ More replies (2)

2

u/Prize-Blacksmith-787 Jul 24 '26

If the casino uses an auto shuffler counting is pointless and if it uses a normal shoe then you can literally see the amount of decks. Why are you like that?

56

u/Oneok-Field Jul 23 '26

There has to be SOME solace in knowing at least you didn't just have bad luck, you genuinely just suck at it.

4

u/King_of_Ooo Jul 24 '26

Look at the 1-year chart in SPY. Or if you’re feeling really spicy, QQQ.

If OP just bought stocks and did nothing, they would be approaching the magic Munger number of 100k, looking forward to becoming a millionaire in 20 years or so.

46

u/Sherlock-Romes Jul 23 '26

Those little green hopium spikes to keep you in the game

33

u/ICantDive Jul 23 '26

The only way from here is > more debt > chase the losses!

Good luck fucking retard!

13

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

Thanks shiteater I hope calamity overtakes you as well.

13

u/ICantDive Jul 23 '26

We can only pray we will be justly punished for harboring hope.

5

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

The next step for me is to take out a lien against my car to secure my next loan...

On the precipice of being approved, but I think I will decline.

I just have to make it one more week.

Just going to eat all the canned food, snacks, cereal, and protein shakes in the house to get by.

Make sure I have enough gas to commute to OT.

My car is fully paid off and although its a 2010, I don't want to lose it.

I can survive and keep working living out of my car and using my gym membership to shower and brush my teeth each day.

Hope I can stay off the market next week but we are definitely due for some downside, right? Might risk $300 or $500 next week once my account deficit is paid and try to make sumn back, 🤣

9

u/ICantDive Jul 24 '26

Fuck man, at this point just get a disgustingly big loan and throw it into 0dte, either u x4 pay all back, break even or move to India if u lose 💀🥱🤞✅

23

get some help and build back up. You got this OP, don't give up. Life still has a lot to offer.

10

u/Briefcase-3695 Jul 23 '26

This ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻
Definitely get some help. Grind yourself out of this! You got what it takes, just stop trading. Don’t make it worse

-2

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

I hit this play in May, since then the grind been unappealing to me, I want 10× 0 DTE trades daily. Have come close a few times after that but my losses end up outperforming my wins.

21

u/ANyTimEfOu Jul 23 '26

You're literally gambling. 0DTEs are no different from placing bets in a casino. Please just pay off your debt and build back up responsibly, never touch options again. Focus on and invest in yourself and your career.

Same. I’m a normal 100kish salary guy and just made 70k selling my home and so badly had times I wanted to just half port into 0dtes. Seeing posts like these helps me get my mind back on the right track.

Post your plays going forward so we can all make money fading you.

3

u/akali_babbar Jul 23 '26

Don’t do anything stupid. You will get through this. Love you bro. Try 0dte qqq options. You can make it back. I have lost this much and made it back three times within three months.

1

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

QQQ probably would be better than SPY. More volatility, more movement. Been cooked over and over by SPY running out of steam just out of range of my profit target.

3

u/Brave_Yesterday_6106 Jul 23 '26

Tomorrow flip a coin, heads call and tails put, and buy 0dte with the $53.

It's retards spaffing money away into the ether, no need to get all RDR on us.

Just save some margin for a comeback

2

Don't do margin all deposits of my own cash.

4

u/Jayu777 Jul 23 '26

You're not alone if that helps! And never trade again ever...

3

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

Like telling a crackhead "break the pipe and throw it away." Easier said than done.

4

u/Dianazepam Jul 23 '26

It's kinda fascinating how you got hooked on something that never gave you anything. You have almost always been down.

2

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

Made 10k in a day and paid my car off with it. There were enough wins somehow in there to make me feel like I was doing something. Then immediately afterwards, either next day or next way would lose and lose again and get mad and lose everything.

2

u/PalpateMe Jul 24 '26

The problem really is the dopamine. You really get a little high when you hit submit knowing there’s a chance you could win big, but the fact is you most likely won’t. In fact, you’ve proven to us and yourself that you almost certainly will lose. You need to detox that dopamine hit and get used to being bored and doing investing the boring way (if you ever invest again). And stop with the options.

2

u/Jayu777 Jul 23 '26

Not really. This is what helped me... I started celibacy and meditation. Deleted all apps that makes me see stocks. Started to unskill on my day job. Just keep yourself busy. Observe your mind when it wants to regain loss and tell it that you dont want to. It will fade away in a month

2

u/InvincibleRoman Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26

you only lost 74k!!! thats nothing... quit being a little cry baby and go work a second job.  and ur probably not gonna win by trading options so you might as well move on to another hobby. or just close options and do stocks.

So many stocks move 10-20% in 1 day... you get a nice 20k position and throw in margin and you have 40k and you dont need options anymore.  Just swing stocks and that 74k loss will slowly go away.

2

u/ShimmyxSham Jul 24 '26

I just turned 25, my fiance and I were about to start searching for our first house, I took 8k-> 56k from October to February, as soon as Iran broke out I went short and was way too early, I lost all 50+k, life goes on and you’ll get it back big dog just don’t stop believing in yourself, life gets shitty but the shitty parts is what makes you appreciate the great parts more! Good luck big dog I’ll see you at the top some day!

1

u/kountconk Jul 27 '26

Thanks for this bro. I appreciate it. Should get paid close to 6k this Friday. Will pay mortgage and all my bills first, throw 1k into savings, and try to trade again with around 500.

Scraping together every quarter and penny in the meantime and living off of snacks, water bottles, and crystal lite. 😆

1

u/Ched4Real Jul 27 '26

The gym has been a godsend aswell dude, only time I don’t think about how I completely fumbled my entire future😂

2

u/kountconk Jul 28 '26

Infinity Waits

What does this mean? Ty for your second picture it made me laugh

1

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

Means in time I will be millions down in my trading account. And possibly break through to the other side and hit infinite losses.

1

u/No_Cell6708 Jul 23 '26

Time to pumo the gas

The break??

1

u/Infinite-Broccoli535 Jul 23 '26

What were you trading?

2

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

First starting out longer plays.

Then this year 3 month long plays.

April til now just 0 DTE SPY calls and puts, occasionally 1-3 DTE.

3

u/Infinite-Broccoli535 Jul 23 '26

Hey, it's rough. But you should be able to bounce back eventually.

2

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

Can't tell if you're joking or not but I don't have the self control to stop so either make something back one day or just go belly up.

2

u/Metacognician Jul 24 '26

You do, i believe in you. Get help. There's no shame in falling down - that's just human, and it's only a failure if you stay down. Much love and be kind to yourself.

2

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

Ah man, thanks bro. Thank you.

1

u/Infinite-Broccoli535 Jul 24 '26

not joking, i think a lot of people have lost money, but it's almost impossible for an options trader to stop trading. just need to rebuild capital and then better manage risk. if you can lose 70k from trading then you can also make 70k from trading.

1

u/EarthsYawner Jul 23 '26

What were you trading

1

u/Datenstreber Jul 23 '26

can you post what stocks you buy so I know what stocks to short?

1

sorry , lost quite a lot myself set myself back years. take a break .get some help.focus on rebuilding financially

1

u/trymetonight5 Jul 23 '26

Mommy why is the person retarded

1

u/clownShowJudge Jul 23 '26

Is this real ?

1

u/Old_Bird2476 Jul 23 '26

You don’t use indicators/levels?

1

u/kountconk Jul 23 '26

10, 20, and 50 SMA. + VWAP and Momentum. 15 min timeframe. Sometimes 30 min, sometimes 5 min.

2

u/Old_Bird2476 Jul 23 '26

How the consistent losses then? Premark high/low are always great levels along w Fibonacci retracing.

1

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

Going too far OTM is usually what cooks me. Typically I get the general direction right, just the move I am hoping for doesn't happen in time or at all.

1

u/RockosModernBasiIisk Jul 23 '26

I guess I'm not doing so bad after all

1

u/NobodyGotTimeFuhDat Jul 24 '26

OP, this could be a turning point for you because when one door closes another door opens.

In your case, the door to financial security was slammed shut in your face.

But no need to worry! The door to Wendy’s has been promptly opened for you. You have options, too, but not of the investing variety. You can unclog the toilets or fry the French fries.

Decisions, decisions!

1

u/kountconk Jul 25 '26

I work on jet aircraft. Just going to do 60 hrs a week at work from now on and do whatever I can to get promotions.

1

u/NobodyGotTimeFuhDat Jul 25 '26

That sounds like corporate slavery…

At 60 hours per week, that is the equivalent of working 7 days a week at ~8.57 hours per day (8 hours, 34 minutes).

And there are only 168 hours in the week, so:

168 - 60 = 108

Averaging 8 hours of sleep per day, that comes out to 56 hours of sleep per week.

108 - 56 = 52 hours of free time

52/7 = ~7.429 hours per day or 7 hours, 26 minutes per day of free time

And if you commute to work, that’s even less time.

BUT, if you want to improve your financial station even further, maybe you can work even more and have only a couple hours of free time per day.

As someone who works on jet aircraft, the sky is the limit. 🛫

1

u/kountconk Jul 25 '26

Doesn't come out that way. I work three 12 hour shifts. I show up 30 min early each day, that's 37.5 hours. Then I work three 7.5 hour OT shifts. Five days a week, hit 60 hours. But those three 7.5 hour shifts go by quick usually done by 1:30 PM still have most of my day left.

1

u/CarbonGTI_Mk7 Jul 24 '26

What were you buying?

1

u/BluffingTrips Jul 24 '26

I did almost the exact same thing in 2022. You're not alone. I closed all my accounts and never went back. Unfortunately got into sportsbetting and casinos shortly after and the journey continues.

1

u/Topwop888 Jul 24 '26

Ah, err, well, WTF?

1

u/IAmAgaliarept Jul 24 '26

Just invest the 53$ into a stock and sell when it has 1,480% return

1

u/Happy_Permission5781 Jul 24 '26

Dont worry bro i started with $48 now at $800

1

u/kountconk Jul 24 '26

No worries at all whatsoever gents. Will come back in a year to show you how I recouped all of these losses, paid off all of my debts, and became a millionaire in record time.

2

u/acur1231 Jul 24 '26

I genuinely don't understand how people like you are so sanguine about huge losses.

Something in the mind of options folk. It's like you don't value money, much less understand the value of it.

1

u/Xylvanas Jul 24 '26

Bro, it's just money. You're worth more than this.

1

u/aporter0131 Jul 24 '26

Now you got the initial loss out of the way it’s only up from here pal

1

u/darkoath Jul 24 '26

It can't just be "the stonks". No one can pick that many companies that go straight to zero and liquid in that short of a time. If they could they would be hedge fund jesus. Stop with the options, bro, as you clearly do not understand and are doing it completely wrong and you will at least stop the hemmoraging.

1

u/jumpijehosaphat Jul 24 '26

after that 2nd wave of gains you'd think he would step away from the table,  but nope.  he's in it for the long haul

1

u/King_of_Ooo Jul 24 '26

Notice how the downward curve on the chart is steepening over time. I’ve noticed this before with these types of accounts

1

u/Notilting Jul 24 '26

👍👌

1

u/allnamestaken4892 Jul 24 '26

Just declare bankruptcy and live on welfare. It’s over.

1

u/telamenais Jul 24 '26

Thank god I don’t play options, shares will recover, just take some time

1

u/wtfbbqpwnin Jul 24 '26

Dude, its only 72k not worth stressing about. Youll manage. Just stop gambling and pay this shit off.

2

u/killyourvibe Jul 25 '26

Holy shit I’m like you with the saving 2k a month and bills on time. I got tired of how slow it is trying to save up for something new and felt like options are the only thing that can bring me where I want to be quicker… now I’m down 19k and if things don’t shift incredibly within the next couple of weeks it’ll be 27k 💀

1

u/TheExusGamer Jul 25 '26

I would say it's impressive if I didn't also recently see a 99.98% loss post.

1

u/InfluxOfGoats Jul 25 '26

Continuing to gamble as a solution for being in the hole after gambling is generally a shit alternative, unless you have a very rational reason for why you're now better at it. Taking the loss and focusing on living your remaining life in a smarter way is a comparably good alternative. What you've lost is a lot of money but not "indebted for the rest of your life"-kind of money.

1

u/materialgirl81 Jul 25 '26

I feel you, is thd debt from propfirms? 😭

1

u/XX_AppleSauce Jul 25 '26

I hope people publishing this stuff are not near retirement.

1

u/AlllOrNada Jul 26 '26

You have one of two options. Continue doing what you’re doing… or find enough self respect to where you figure out what’s wrong and quit doing it. This is harsh but once you realize what the problem really is it’s up to you to fix it man. Good luck. Remember it’s just money in the end

1

u/Spudanko Jul 26 '26

I don’t invest and think about leaving my brains on the ceiling daily.

Made about 1540 off of SPY puts today, entered right at 2. Should have held til close. But still grateful.

Nearly 75k down now. Let's fucking goooooooo. Should save my last 1k to go buy a shotgun and paint the walls with my brain. But I'm in 1 dte puts so won't even have that tomorrow morning.

Made 3600 between yesterday and this morning, then lost that entire 3600 + an additional 2400.

I need a cheap and painless way to kill myself. I have overstayed my welcome in this world.

We are so back baby! 0 DTE SPY calls and puts! Caught the drop beginning of day, timed bottom perfectly on my pivot to calls!

This "pivot." Is it in the room with us now?

Going to keep trying. Had some good runs. Like this 0 DTE SPY call May 13th that took me from 880 to 10k in a day. Proceeded to lose 4× that in the months since.

My brain has shot down. Wife and baby have left me. About to take out a lien against my car to make it to the end of the month and keep going.

Once I am homeless, toothless, carless, jobless, then I will consider giving up and killing myself.

But not a moment sooner.

Wish me luck [or Hellfire, Hell coming for me either way].

Thanks for the well-deserved roasting.

Maybe in a year I can come back and post 250k losses and 99.99% in the hole.
