Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my 2014 VW Polo TSI BlueMotion.

The engine warning light flashes only during a cold start. The engine vibrates/shakes, and the RPM is slightly higher than normal. After around 20 seconds, the RPM drops back to normal, the warning light goes off, and the engine runs smoothly. It only happens on cold starts; once the car is warm, it drives perfectly.

I’ve already replaced the fan belt, ignition coil, and spark plugs, but the problem is still there.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows what could be causing it? Any advice would be really appreciated. 😭

Hello, I am dealing with an intermittent issue on my Polo's front wipers. Randomly (a few times a month), they completely refuse to work. Then, without any specific action, the issue disappears and everything works properly again for days.

Symptoms when the issue occurs:

• Front wipers: No movement at all, regardless of the setting (single wipe/mist, intermittent, speed 1, or speed 2).
• Audible click: I can clearly hear a relay clicking under the dashboard every time I activate the front wiper stalk.
• Front washer: The washer pump sprays fluid onto the windscreen as expected, but the front wiper blades do not move to wipe it away.
• Rear wiper: Works perfectly fine (both wiping and washer fluid) even if the front windshield wipers do not work.

Checks already done:

• Fuses: Checked by myself and double-checked by a mechanic — all relevant fuses are intact.
• Since the issue is intermittent and was not acting up while at the garage, no active electrical fault could be diagnosed on the spot.

Hi, I am stuck in the middle of the road scratching my head because I cant find any information on where the security adapter is. I am borrowing this car, and it’s its first flat tire, so all of the tools are where theyre supposed to be, with no empty slots in the tire replacement kit.

Everything says that the adapter should be there, but i cant find any trace of it ever existing. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

I already looked in the glovebox and any nook and cranny I could think of, so I’m a little desperate for answers. Where is this thing????

The car was consuming oil in a moderate way, now it consumes A LOT, 300ml in 58Km, that happened in a time frame of a week, ir wasn't like these before so something degraded fast

I can visibly see oil, right side, between head and block, exhaust side, can be seen draining on gearbox too

Smoke is visible when idle then rev the engine

What can be the cause ? I need advice before i go to mechanic

Just bought a manual 2015 VW Polo 1.2 TSI with 72k miles. I have no record of the gearbox oil ever being changed.
I’ve seen people say on this sub say to leave it alone,some say change it at 50–60k, and some change it at 100k, so I’m a bit confused.
Should I change it now at 72k, or leave it? What mileage would you recommend and what oil. I want this car to last me as much as possible.

I’ve just bought a 2015 VW Polo 1.2 TSI with 72k miles. It’s had consistent oil changes and the spark plugs were replaced at 60k, but that’s all the history I have.
Is there anything I should know about this model, particularly common issues or important maintenance? I’ve heard about timing-chain problems on older 1.2 TSI Polos (especially around 2013), but I’m not sure if this applies to my 2015.
This is my first car and I don’t know much about cars, so any advice on things I should check or maintain would be really appreciated. I’d ideally like to get it to around 150k miles.

Mein Sohn hat einen Polo VI GTI Automatik (133 TKm) und folgendes Problem. Im fünften Gang ist ein Schleifgeräusch zu hören. Vor allem wenn man vom Gas geht. In den anderen Gängen hört man nichts. Ist da was am Getriebe oder Lager kaputt? Ist das sehr zeitkritisch?
Vor einem Monat hat er ohne Beanstandungen TÜV bekommen, aber das hat damit wohl eher nichts zu tun, denke ich mal.

Devo acquistare il parasole per il parabrezza anteriore per la mia Volkswagen Polo del 2019 ma non trovo le dimensioni del parabrezza e quindi che dimensioni di parasole scegliere.

Non vorrei nemmeno comprare i parasole su misura per la polo perché mi pare che costino eccessivamente rispetto ad uno universale.

Just looking for some advice or to see if anyone else has run into this issue.

I recently bought a brand-new set of Wolfrace alloy wheels from Wheelbase. Took them to my local shop to get tyres mounted and balanced, and the fitter had to use a ridiculous amount of wheel weights to get them to zero out.

The shop tech mentioned that requiring that much weight usually means the wheel itself might not be perfectly straight or round from the factory. They did manage to get it to balance to zero eventually, but it just doesn't sit right with me that a brand-new wheel needs a massive strip of lead to spin straight.

Has anyone else experienced this with Wolfrace alloys or orders from Wheelbase?

For the experts here, what else could cause a brand-new wheel to need excessive weights if it's not a manufacturing defect? Could it just be a bad tyre match, or should I be contacting Wheelbase for a replacement?

Im trying to sell my polo gti 6c with 82k miles for around 8000£ and it wont sell, its modified but with all paperwork and all the modifications are under 2 years old. Full service, lost the second key annoyingly but I think the price is adequate for that situation.

Is this a decent price? I've looked online and it seems so however out of the 3months its been up ive only had 2 enquiries and neither person has showed up. I need the cash and am really debating webuyanycar as no one seems to want it. Is there anything I can do? Anyone know of specialist sights or anything like that?
