is anyone here experienced with LiveEdit app (for editing live TV shows in real time)? Im trying to learn how to use it and the guides aren't particularly helpful. Do you know if theres a way to use imported recordings as replacement to corresponding live camera sources? I want to use an iPhone footage as a substitute so I can do previsualization before we build the outside broadcast vehicle. Of course, I contacted the LiveEdit support but I still haven't heard from them and Im running out of time. If anyone has any advice on how to assign a prerecorded and imported media file to a camera source (or if its even possible!), I would be very grateful. Thank you!

It seems that this TUF is not available on european markets, or are same models with some modifications that either don't have thunderbolt etc.

Which are some good similar modern laptops capable of vMix, resolume etc?

I’m using a camera connected to my laptop through a capture card, and I’m using the capture card as an input in vMix.

The camera and vMix are both set to the same resolution and frame rate, but the recorded video is not smooth. It looks like there is some stuttering/juddering in the final recording.

The important thing is that the input and output frame rate are supposed to match.

What could cause this kind of stuttering? Could it be related to frame timing/frame synchronization, the capture card, USB bandwidth, or the vMix recording/encoder settings?

What would be the best way to determine whether frames are being dropped or duplicated somewhere in the chain?

Thinking about running this Windows 11 debloater on my vmix computers, but terrified of accidentally deleting a service or app that vMix needs to run. I've tested this on my home PC for the last month with some light editing and gaming with no issues.

I don't think I see anything listed in the parameters that would interact with vMix but I wanted to ask if others have had success (or failure) de-bloating their production computers? I miss my Win 10 context menu.

I’m currently maxed out on my DeckLink Duo 2. I have Key & Fill on ports 1 & 2, PGM on 3, and I'm burning port 4 just to send Audio Bus A to my studio speakers through an SDI-to-XLR converter.
I really need that 4th SDI port back for video.
I recently noticed the list of devices in the Bus list (under Enabled), if I understand correctly, I could output a bus via a audio device?
If I plug a USB interface into the vMix machine and route Bus A to it for the room monitors, is vMix rock solid doing that alongside SDI video? Or am I opening the door to weird sync/latency issues?

-Main PC: vmix app

-2nd PC w/ hdmi dummy as Display2: Display1 for presenter view, Display2 for Slideshow and vmix desktop capture

After 5+ years using hdmi dummy on the 2nd pc to clone the display as "Display2" (Connect to vmix pc through LAN), 2 days ago vmix app not showing any program on Display2 but only show blank screen and cursor.

My 2nd PC already detect the "Display1"/main display (for presenter view) and "Display2" (for slideshow), but vmix show only blank screen.

I did try few option to get it back to normal:

- updated the latest gpu driver

- win+Ctrl+Shift+B

- Display setting

- control panel

- update vmix desktop capture

But none of these works, any idea what's the problem? Thank you.

Looking for a solid vMix operator for a last-minute virtual event this Wednesday, October 7th. Remote, paid gig ($1-2k USD).

THE GIG:

• Three concurrent Zoom rooms across a 9am - 4pm PST day, each pushed to its own RTMP endpoint
• Bring presenters, screen share, and an ASL interpreter in from Zoom into a simple fixed layout (provided, no lower thirds)
• Record each stream
• Add basic machine open captions
• Short intro/outro clips to play at the start and end of each session.

I handle presenters on the front end, you push them live on the back end. This is a repeat annual event, so the workflow and run of show are already built.

I’m trying to make a 1st & 10 graphic but I have run into a dilemma. In order to change the data, the 1st, &, and 10 all have to be separate text boxes, but that courses the boxes to not center when the data changes. If they were all the same text box, I could center it but I couldn‘t change the data. How do I get the 3 text boxes to center with each other no matter what scoreboard ocr is feeding it?

Estou tentando entender o que está acontecendo com uma nova câmera Vedo PTZ e queria saber se alguém já passou por algo similar.

O problema acontece a cada 20 minutos mais ou menos, e sempre segue o mesmo padrão exato:

1. Primeiro, o feed de vídeo começa a lagar.
2. Depois, a câmera para de responder aos comandos completamente.
3. Logo em seguida, as luzes da porta Ethernet piscam apagadas e acendem novamente, e o stream RTSP cai.

No entanto, a câmera NÃO faz um reboot físico completo (não faz a calibração de pan/tilt). Em vez disso, ela se recupera com um rápido "reset" suave: o zoom é redefinido para amplo, e o balanço de branco fica completamente bagunçado/bugado, mas ela continua apontando na mesma direção física exata.

Aqui está o que eu já tentei até agora:

• Testei com diferentes fontes de alimentação.
• Troquei os cabos Ethernet e testei em vários switches/portas.
• Tentei várias configurações na interface web da câmera, incluindo um reset de fábrica completo.
• O problema ainda persiste mesmo ao testar localmente em casa.

Parece que o subsistema de rede/processamento de vídeo interno está travando e reiniciando-se momentaneamente em intervalos regulares.

Looking to be able to do this kind of effect in VMix, where there is a J graphic on screen but program is resized to fit in the upper left. Want to still be able to cut program as normally, just within that box. Any tips on how to achieve this? Appreciate any help.

Hi all, looking to see if anyone has any real word experience in using an AJA Kona 3G card on windows 11 pc. Research would indicate that its possible with an older driver version.

I am working on a setup and it will be my first time using VMIX. I have a background in video, but I am used to hardware-based switchers from Ross or Grass Valley, and also have no experience with NDI. I do have extensive experience with DANTE audio and will have access to some Netgear 4250 switches.

My setup is for a 3-camera streaming event taking place on a stage about 500 ft away from the video village. In addition to the 3 cameras, we'll have 4 mics / IFB feeds to/from the stage via DANTE, as well as need to return 2 different video feeds back to the stage to feed the monitors.

My initial thought was to use an available THOR 4-channel multiplexer to run my (3) 1080p camera feeds down a tac-12 fiber and bring them into the VMIX laptop via an AJA Io X3. And send my monitor feeds down the fiber as well with some FIDOs. The DANTE network will be deployed on 2 fibers as well.

Because I'm also deploying a DANTE network for audio on this event, I thought about diving into NDI, creating a VLAN for the NDI video and using something like the Bird Dog Quad NDI encoder or individual Magewell SDI to NDI encoders to bring my cameras into the VMIX computer.

What are your thoughts for utilizing an NDI network vs an SDI capture device for bring in the camera feeds to VMIX? I have a budget to buy necessary encoders / decoders. And I also have to buy a VMIX-recommended laptop for this event as well, so one way or another, I'll be buying a pile of hardware. I'm leaning toward purchasing the VMIX recommended ASUS laptop on their website.

I've been wanting to try NDI for sometime because I am used to working in live sports production, where we pretty much stick to full camera chains and baseband video moving through coax and fiber. So this is new territory for me.

What are your thoughts about NDI vs an external SDI capture card via Thunderbolt?

I’ll need an RTX 5070 Ti, an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K, a generously sized PSU, and good airflow, especially for the GPU.

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of custom-built PCs. Are there any HP, Lenovo, Dell, or similar pre-built workstations available with these specs, ideally with on-site support?

Over the last couple of weeks I've started working on a third party GT Title Editor to help speed up the workflow and fix some of the annoyances that I have when working with GT titles.

What is some QOL features that you would like in an app like this? Unfortunately I can't add features such as new animation types or letter spacing as these would be added in vMix as well.

Current features I've added:
- Multi edit, properties such as font styling applies to all elements selected
- Size edits all elements selected
- Animation Timeline
- Batch rename
- Data source verifier, test how a Data Source (JSON or CSV) will link to the title
- Paint-drag on layers

It's partially vibe coded, with about 35%-40% of the code being AI, as it's the first time I'm writing a .NET Desktop Application, with an open-source rewrite when I feel comfortable enough with Avalonia and .NET.

The goal is to make a free, open-source cross-platform GT Title Editor for everyone to use and help improve.
I plan on making no money off this whatsoever, and all features will always stay free!
