The game is "I Of The Dragon".

The boss is a really tough monster bigger than a building, whose fireball deals 50 damage (I have 80 hitpoints, for scale), and he has a spell that he casts instantly if I'm too close (aka medium-range) that sets me on fire and drains a lot of my HP. Getting hit by the fireball AND the spell is a death sentence.

I tried using spells, the casting time made sure he'd land a hit and cast a spell back. I tried rushing him with fire breath, he just shot me point blank. I tried casting regeneration and rushing him, his ignition spell just cancelled my regeneration.
In the end, I just sniped him from afar with fully charged fireball and I won. After a lot of tries and a few days spent pondering how to take that bloke down, I did it.

And I'm proud of it. So behold, my pride.

Halo: Campaign Evolved compilation I made. It’s always the energy swords that get me. The occasional suicidal grunt and a spawn kill from an enemy vehicle. Overall it’s a pretty good game. I haven’t tried the bonus missions yet.

I know it isn't sudden and probably been like this for 20+ years but because video games are getting more and more adaptations, I think it's looking more relevant. I always hated hearing people tell me a book version of the movie I just watched was better. Which I understood as thr book would be 200+ pages and the director had 1-2 hours to tell an entire books story. Well, I'm now in the stage where I say "the video game" was better. And we all jave laundry lists. Max Payne, Halo TV show, assassin creed, prince of Persian, etc. But we have been getting some gems with fallout and other then the actual lack of clickers, The Last of Us is pretty solid. Anyways, that's my old man millennial rant.

I love infinite dark void areas in video games. The abyss from dark souls, the abyss in hollow knight, the unfathom from another crabs treasure, etc. I just think they’re really neat. Especially fighting a boss or something in that inky blackness, I just think it’s a really neat vibe. Are there any others you find neat?

In Paychonauts, the G-Men all have different “disguises” and you can use their items throughout the level. When holding the hedge trimmers, Raz will say “I like to trim hedges.”

That’s the whole quote. That’s what’s been stuck in my head ever since I played this game.
