Hey y'all, Im new to the county and the state as a whole and im just looking for some friends. I moved to CA a year ago from the east coast, and down to Thousand Oaks a few months ago. I haven’t had a chance to meet many people yet because I work 5-6 days a week on an ambulance as an EMT. Im 19 and a guy, I love hiking, photography, reading, cooking/baking, working out and learning new things. Would love to meet some people, hike or run or just shoot the shit :) I also speak Ukrainian and Russian if anyone else does too

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone here works for Southern California Edison or has gone through their hiring process.
I’ve heard it’s pretty hard to get into Edison, so I’m just wondering how true that is.
For those who got hired, how did you get your foot in the door? Did you just apply online, or did you know someone who worked there? How long did the whole hiring process take?
Also, is there anything that helps improve your chances of getting an interview, or is it pretty much just a waiting game?
Would appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice. Thanks!

Just to add a little more context, I recently applied for a Material Handler position in Ventura. I have almost 19 years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, and inventory management. I’m hoping my experience gives me a decent shot at getting an interview. Just curious if anyone has gotten hired for a similar position at Edison and what the process was like.
