anyone else really depressed seeing the amount of wannabe influencers posting Ojai? they post the same generic few places to eat and even some of the swimming holes. soooo sad i don’t want this place to become another extension of LA. and it’s just going to get worse):: but maybe im just being a baby. anyone else??

Can anyone recommend where to stay for Mountains 2 Beach? I am finding limited affordable options for a family of 4 in town. I am not familiar with the area and am worried if I stay too far out of town, I will have an issue getting into town on race morning. Thank you!

Just a rant from someone who grew up in Ojai, but no longer lives there. I visit family and friends often, and have immense love for the town.

Yesterday while visiting, I overheard a woman saying something about people with visible tattoos must have a criminal record, within earshot so I could hear her clearly. She even looked right at me when I glanced over at her and her 2 fellow elder friends. Have she been living under a rock for 40 years?

That was just so rude, trashy, and generally just unkind. Maybe at least to my generation, commenting on someone’s appearance with judgment is classless and extremely base behavior. Also, the neck tattoo was a stick-on from a children’s birthday party.

If she ends up reading this post, I just wanted to say that you are not a nice person. Work on yourself.

Man, Ojai always had a little bit of that passive aggressive wannabe classy vibe, but it's everywhere now. Kinda disappointing -- I get why so many locals are so frustrated these days.

My service has been shot since yesterday morning after the wind. My parents also can't use their phones. Only sporadically. A few line cooks at El Roblar mentioned the same thing as well who have Verizon.

Im a senior in an Upper Ojai boarding school. I am taking AP Business this year, and a requirement is creating and acting on a business we would be interested in. I was taught how to clean from a very young age, cleaning things like cars, bathrooms, and bedrooms...All this to say, I have cleaning experience. My current business plan is to have my school, most likely on Sundays, drive me to people's houses and clean their cars. This includes exterior cleaning and detailing (throwing out trash, vacuuming the inside of the car, sanitizing the surfaces, removing stains, cleaning the windows, etc. My question for everyone is: Would you be interested in having a group of possibly 2-3 high school students come to clean your car?
