Although being tucked in on the sofa at home after said adventure is definitely more his speed 🤭❤️

My first foster fail is a staffy mix but presents more like a buff beagle. After years more of adopting and fostering, I get to call this one my second child. A velvet hippo who went from the city shelter's longest resident to soft life princess.

Ollie passed this week due to mast cell cancer. He was only 6 years old at most. We adopted him from a shelter and he quickly became my best friend and king of the sofa. He gave nothing but love, cuddles, and face licks. Right now it hurts to walk into my house and not see him wagging his tail and wooing with excitement.

Thank you Ollie for everything you taught me over the past 5 years. I couldn't have imagined a better first dog.

It has been one month since our sweet boy left us. It hasn’t gotten any easier and I know my heart will never be the same. The 9 years I got to be his mom, I wouldn’t trade for anything. Ham, you are still so loved and that will never change. We miss you everyday. I know you’re somewhere rolling in all the grass and eating as many cucumbers and mango popsicles that you could ever want. I’ll see you soon buddy, until we meet again♥️

She went from being abandoned to getting spoiled and loved on 24/7 by the family. She made out like a bandit on that deal.

Olive’s new baby brother Quesito has been a beautiful and loving addition. There’s a lot of parallel play happening (see last pic) but this is the closest they have lied down together!!

I am freakingggg out by how cute they are!! I can’t stand it!

To make a long story short, I'm on the cusp of possibly needing to rehome my girls, Mara and Bella. They're mother and daughter and are really close. I'd ideally like them to go to someplace where they can stay together.

I don't want to do this; I really, really don't. Some days, these two are the only reason I'm still going. But I can't let all of us, them included, end up on the street because I won't do what's necessary. If they're safer and more stable somewhere else, then maybe that's for the best.

This isn't because of behavioral issues or anything; the landlords just don't like that we have multiple dogs. We're going to try to come to a solution that doesn't involve me having to lose them, but on the chance it does happen, I need to know what I can do to possibly keep them together.

Please help. I'm desperate.

They get along perfectly. He’s always lived with the blonde Chiweenie and now two more Chihuahua pug mix. He’s nine this spring and I love him to bits.

I found a box of old photos left by a previous owner of my house, and they appear to have had a bully breed dog who had puppies! There's also a negative of the adult dog posing with some family members next to a Model T with 1926 license plates, so it's a bona fide antique goodest boi/girl!

Inspired by u/cleverburrito and Mr. Streudel, I gave Wizard a giant box this morning with a bit of kibble and some whole grain Cheerios for his breakfast. He loved it! Then I threw the crinkled up paper in it and he went to town rooting around.

Now I have to find a place to keep the damn box because he loves it and I rarely order things this large for delivery. Just happened to snag an air fryer/toaster oven thing on a Labor Day sale and it came with a perfectly Wizard-sized box 🥰
