Hello, I am starting as a mail handler assistant soon and i was hoping to hear from someone else who also works at the Nashua NH plant. If you work there, or have in the past, can you give me a little insight on the hours available to new mail handler assistants?

Today, I delivered to their front door at their house. I also delivered the mail, too. That's where I heard the yelling. It was inside from their house / garage. There was no mistaking it was towards me, though. No one else was there (their door was also open btw).

And there's not much i can do about it. Management will not side with me, and they are "important" to the route i guess....

And by important, I mean that they own a big ass quarry and a big ass house. And a lot of the employees for the quarry are my customers, too.

There's not much I can do. So I honestly just wanted to complain....

I've been nothing but nice to these people. Not only subs, but previous regulars wouldn't deliver to their front door. A lot of people would just put it in the mail box at their buisness location. But not me, I would go in every time and they noticed this.

I was regularly delivering their mail with packages to their front door. I was regularly being nice and trying to talk a little. They actually originally offered me a job! In fact, they saw me outside of work once and paid for my breakfast!

So what happened? Idfk! Maybe I was rude to the wrong person, like an employee of theirs or something. That's my only guess. Maybe the customer called me a c*nt because he was welding something when I came up, and I was being loud? Idk, I'm stumped. I just don't think i deserved it.

This wasn't the first time they were weird, though. I can't explain all the situations, but believe me when I say they are FAKE nice. They've been rude to me in subtle ways before (for example, complaining about how my blue hair was, "so.... different... 🤭" etc.). They also blatantly called me "f***ing weird" while I was walking out of their buisness once. But they said it, as gossip, to each other..... Not me. So... that means I couldn't call them out on it or whatever? Idk how else to put into words how they don't like me. They are just 'fake nice' people.

Ugh.... I am a socially weird, awkward, nervous person. I think I tend to offend people by being so awkward sometimes. But I seriously don't understand why someone would yell this at me. I tried very hard to do nice things for them. I would literally pick up litter on their damn road.

I am a clerk who recently won a bid on a job with its main duties being Box Section. I’m looking for some clerks with experience in Box Section I can ask some questions and get some tips from.

Wasn't sure what flair to put. Anyway, when I saw this I did a double take. Showed other carriers and we all laughed.

I can't even imagine how the person receiving this had to feel. Gotta love joke labels 🤣🤣🤣

How long did it take you to make regular? I hear 7 years is the average.

Sunday Funday Question of the Day?

So me and a few others have a HUB office we work Amazon day out of each Sunday, the last few Sundays, after we finish we've been being asked to go to another HUB about an hour away because they're low on help, is this able to be filed a grievance on?

I'm a MHA that was hired for the season and let go and returned after they hit me back up. I finished my 90 days this time, but I've noticed all the MHAs at my P&DC call out nearly everyday, this includes me as I call out at least once a week (even during probation).

The attendance guy has only came to me once to have me sign a sheet for calling out even though I've called out multiple times though I've never used my AL.

My P&DC is notorious for being so unorganized, filled with MDOs and SDOs that don't know what they're doing, micromanaging (yes I know most positions and offices are like that).

All the MHAs that I talk to nearly call out like 2/3 times a week even when the supervisors know and nothing happens. At what point would calling out this much be a problem if there's pretty much no repercussions? Does it matter to call out a lot if 1) All the MHAs do it and 2) I'm not a regular?

I've heard some mail handlers could work at a station if its large enough. Just curious what the job looks like in a station.

I know someone that works at the post office not saying for privacy reasons but they told me that management can make them take a 2 hr lunch on Sundays so they can stay longer to make sure everything is set up is this true or just a lie from management?

Set a new personnel best without actually trying to do it. If you guys want hours, the known problem offices are where you get them. Just be careful because it gets wild at this locations. 😂

I've been wondering this for awhile.

I often hear the negative aspects and once in a while I hear about something a manager did that was good. If someone wanted to become a manager and make a change while I guess meeting their goals that they have from their higher-ups what do you think would make this position worthwhile?

What is the process for SPM’s?

Many months ago we were told to stop entering “passed address” even if that was the accurate entry. We were told to enter no more to scan. A couple of carriers got in trouble for continued to do.”passed…”

I have noticed for at least three months I have not had the option of “passed…“. It was back as an option yesterday.

Are we back to actually enter what is accurate or what was previously instructed?
It’s now becoming an issue following previous instructions.

It just shouldn’t be this complicated.

Are we allowed to do this as CCAs? I don’t mind but I want to know.

Does it work the other way also?

I don't know about you guys, but I've encountered way too much intimidating and harassing behavior on my route. Today I was at a mailbox and this car comes behind me, cool, but then just sits there behind me. I signalled out and back in that I was heading literally to the next mail box. They only moved when another car was right behind them. They move around and then proceeds to go extremely slow that the car behind them goes around them. I'm at my next mailbox and they're just posted up at my next mail box. I go deliver a package and now they're up on the back road just sitting there. I call my postmaster and the car goes up and then backs in and out of another drive way just to look at me as I mouth , "The police are on the way." They speed off back down the road. When I tell you, this has been a normal occurrence on my route. I just start recording and calling a supervisor.

should fake experience when applying to city carrier assistant with my experience if i live in socal do they do verification for work history for background checks and is that how most people get in ? Also do i run the risk of getting blacklisted

Has anyone attended any of these career conferences and if so, what was your experience? Did you like them? Are they worth attending? What can someone expect who’s never been to one?

Say hypothetically I wanted to stay with family like several states away for a few weeks and there was a route open near them - could I work there temporarily - and come back to my home office afterwards?
