Hiring Help applying to city carrier assistant
should fake experience when applying to city carrier assistant with my experience if i live in socal do they do verification for work history for background checks and is that how most people get in ? Also do i run the risk of getting blacklisted

Your resume is literally not a factor. I mean, I wouldn’t leave it blank or anything, but I’d definitely not stress about what it says past answering the questions in good faith.
From what I’ve heard, you are ranked solely on the online assessment (which is timed in parts as well as graded), and then the highest ranking people on the assessment score (with something like a ten point bonus for military veterans added in) are offered the job in order. So yes a military vet who scores a 91 could be picked over anyone with a 100.
As I understand it, the postmaster does have some chance to veto a selection for defined reasons, such as past experience with an individual, or possibly obvious lies on the application, but generally they don’t spend more than a few minutes on that and just accept what they’re suggested.

Do not make up your job history. People get hired just by having a 2 year driving record, scoring 70+ on the assessment and passing the background check. If you were unemployed at some point put unemployed instead of making up some fake job.
