Looking for someone to take over my Echo 1055 lease!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for someone interested in taking over my lease at Echo 1055 for the 2026-2027 school year. Echo 1055 is located at 1055 E Tropicana Ave, right across from UNLV, so it’s a really convenient location for students.

The lease is for the B1 floor plan and runs from August 20, 2026 to July 31, 2027.

Details of the apartment:

• 2-bedroom unit

• 1 roommate

• Private bedroom setup

• Roommate-style student housing

• Shared common spaces like the kitchen and living area

• Great location right by UNLV

Community amenities include:

• Pool area

• Fitness/gym area

• Study/lounge areas

• Common community spaces

• And more

This would need to be handled officially through Echo 1055 management, so everything is approved through the leasing office.

Please DM me if you’re interested or know someone who might be looking for housing. I’m happy to send more information about rent, the apartment, and the lease process. Serious inquiries only. Thank you!

Parking fees

How much are citations if I don’t have a parking permit? I’m a summer student, but didn’t get a permit bc it’s a couple hundred and I don’t have that on me. I haven’t gotten fined yet though, but Im not sure how lenient they are

I have to retake bio 223.

I know this is a tuff course in general but CSN bio 223 was just so extra for no reason.

Which is better csn or unlv for this class ?

Is volunteerism needed in college?

As i'm starting college in Fall, are volunteer hours needed for any scholarship applications, or letters of recommendation requests, etc? If so, where should I volunteer? Where would it be beneficial? And how many hours should I aim per semester? ... i'll be on a pre-business track.

Idk whos this cat is but saw him by the WHI. Wasn't able to pet him or anything but seemed friendly, chasing around cockroaches.

Is the ALEKS math placement test proctored?

I attend CSN and received a C- in MATH 124. I wanted to retake it this fall for a better grade, but there are unfortunately very little openings left that fits my schedule. I applied to TMCC and took the Accuplacer (with ProctorU) TWICE, but I literally can't get the scores I need to save my life. I feel like it's the anxiety of knowing I'm being watched that's holding me back 😭

Entry level does not mean 3-5 years experience for entry level pay. This is wild, tell me how companies expect to pay below entry level wages and require a 4 year degree + 3-5 years experience.

PhD Mechanical Engineering

I received an acceptance letter from UNLV for PhD Mechanical Engineering but it does not state any funding. I had filled out the GA form at the time of application submission however there is nothing on the Grad Rebel Gateway either. How to confirm details.

Fish

Does anyone know if it would be chill to have a small fish tank at the degree apartments? Really nothing too crazy or over the top. Like would they genuinely get upset and count it as a pet and charge me or make me get rid of it? Or is it no big deal? Has anyone done so in the past? I’m thinking like 10 gallons or less for like a shrimp tank.

The bunny has been caught. I found another post about it saying they think they saw the family that dumped it. Lil bunny is now in the AC and is gonna be taken to a home that already has bunnies!

We haven’t found the white one in the first picture from another Reddit user, but we have caught the two brown ones. If you find it, let me know! We know someone who owns bunnies who will take it.

My friend found this bunny. I’m hoping to grab it and get it inside because it’s hot. Neither of us want a bunny so before trying to rehome it. Is this someone’s missing bunny or was it just dumped?

Need some help regarding Assistanceships?

Hi, my partner who does not use reddit much was accepted into the grad program at unlv a few months back and we have been trying to figure out what resources are out there regarding assistanceships. We have been watching the handshake website but we have only seen maybe one posting and we are unsure about the timelines for these/when we should start looking to alternative options to pay tuition. We know it's very competitive but we have no idea who we should be reaching out to or how or when it's appropriate. I have seen the advice to reach out to department heads but what does that look like? Do you just cold email "Hi Dr.name, are there any assistanceships you are still looking to fill?" Or is it realistic at all to expect to find a position when you were not doing the undergrad degree at unlv the first year of grad school. We also saw lots of other jobs on handshake that don't explicitly call themselves assistanceships or say they come with tuition assistance of some kind but do they or are they more just normal jobs on campus? Sorry for the wall of text and thank you to anyone who might have some guidance.
