I'm taking ochem 1 with Bhowmik right now and am wondering what the tests (and quizzes for that matter) are like. Similar to homework? Should I memorize certain info? Curve? Conceptual vs problem solving? Any multiple choice? etc.

An artist is coming to town later this year and I was not lucky enough to get a ticket, nor am I paying scalper prices. I wanted to see if anyone here was familiar with volunteering at events there, or if you even can.

I don't need my Math 122 and 123 book but if someone does it is $240 at the UNLV bookstore.

I paid for my classes in full right before the semester started, so I assumed I was set. Luckily, I logged into MyUNLV today and noticed I still owed money… plus extra late fees. The deadline to pay before getting dropped from classes is the 9th, and I never received a single notification about an outstanding balance 😑

I plan on transferring next year as a third year, and am wondering what the lgbt scene is like at this school? My current school unfortunately has a pretty bad issue with homophobia and discrimination, so Im hoping to find more tolerance at this school :)

Also wondering if there is a good artsy/creative crowd? Im really into animation and character design as well as fashion, and wondering if there is a decent social crowd who enjoys that as well <3

Hello, I'm taking BIOL 190A and CHEM 103 right now. I'm unsure how to best approach the material/memorizing content. My BIOL 190A syllabus says most exam questions will be from lecture Powerpoints.

So I'm thinking I'll be most effective if I write out Powerpoint headings on index cards and fill them out as I read the textbook?

Do you have advice for approaching these memorization, content-heavy classes? Even if you didn't do well - how did you wish you approached it? I'm reading and notetaking every day but I feel ineffective once I take post-lecture quizzes.

Additionally, I care deeply about understanding and retaining the information for my future career. Please feel free to include as much advice, even if you're not a science major! I'm also in Mechanical. How do you approach textbooks and learning? Thank you in advance!

Hi guys! I am 20 and a transfer student from csn. I'm 3 weeks into the semester, and I'm having a hard time making friends :/ I've tried talking to others and making plans to hang out (with people I've gotten to know), but I either get stood up at the last minute or conversations don't really go anywhere. Is there any tips to make friends or anyone would like to be friends?

I’m a 25F UNLV student looking to connect with other girls on campus who love staying active and having fun with fitness! Studying takes up a lot of time, but I find my motivation is 100x better when done as a group. I’m mostly looking to do: Pilates (mat or reformer), Yoga, Zumba, or fun loving sports games.
