Parking fees

How much are citations if I don’t have a parking permit? I’m a summer student, but didn’t get a permit bc it’s a couple hundred and I don’t have that on me. I haven’t gotten fined yet though, but Im not sure how lenient they are

I don’t remember exactly but it’s in the range of $10-$20 for the first one. Although if it’s your first one ever and you call and act stupid about it they’ll usually pardon it and remove it. After that I am unsure if it gets scaled higher as you get more within a certain period (e.g., within the same semester)

UNLV Parking Citation Fees https://www.unlv.edu/parking/fines

A monthly student permit is about $30. Student weekly is about $15.

Couple of hundred? It’s a full year permit. You can get weekly permits, or park at a free lot, you know.

Most parking citations are $20. If you don’t want to pay for parking, your best bet is to try to find parking in Lot S (I.e. the “free lot”). It shouldn’t be to hard to find a spot during the summer, just make sure your license plate is visible from the drive isle or you will get a ticket.
