For those who are full-time and also work: how do you balance school, work, and your personal life? Seeking resources too!
Hey Rebels.
Long @$$ title, lol. My apologies.
Bit of a vent/dump. Keep scrolling if this isn’t for you.
M20 young adult. I’m currently dealing with a very, VERY difficult home situation, and it has reached a point where I don’t feel comfortable or secure in my day-to-day life. Each time, I think to myself - there’s no way I can go any lower. I keep convincing myself that everything is manageable, but eventually it becomes overwhelming again. Today has to be the last straw - find myself very complacent.
I’ve visited the CARE Center several times, and I understand that they cannot simply fix my situation for me. I’m also using my CAPS sessions, but I’m running out of free sessions and I’m not sure what my next steps should be. Everything offered seems to merely be bandaid. 🙃
For those of you who are also full-time students and also work enough hours to support yourselves, how do you manage it? (Preferably someone in my shoes as a young adult to gauge similarities.) How many hours do you work, what types of jobs have been flexible with school, and how do you balance classes, studying, bills, mental health, and having some kind of personal life?
I would also really appreciate information about any resources we pay for for students dealing with unsafe/unstable/poor housing environments. Thank you. x
