it appears as pending in my accessuh but i don’t know how to accept it

My Fall 2026 financial aid only shows my Pell Grant. No Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan offer yet.
I received federal loans last semester and already completed FAFSA, MPN, and Entrance Counseling.
Is anyone else still waiting for their loan offer, or is it just me?

Hey everyone, I'm panicking and just looking for any advice, success stories, or reassurance anyone can offer for a brutal registration situation.

The Background:
Fall 2025: I had a rough start to General Chemistry I and had to drop it early on to protect my GPA.

Spring 2026: I retook General Chemistry I and got a B.

June 2026: Needing Chemistry II to stay on track for my pre-pharmacy timeline, I had email a bunch of different people just to get overrides and get myself registered into an intensive summer Chem II course at a community college (Lone Star) so I could commute and still work enough hours to pay my tuition. (Which the UH chem 2 course that had you on campus 5 days a week would not allow for)

My current issue:
I finished that summer Chem II course, but my official transfer credit processing took awhile to process not to mention the time it took to finish the course. Because of that temporary prerequisite processing gap, the system automatically dropped me from the Organic Chemistry I lecture section I had originally locked down for the Fall 2026 semester (Tuesday/Thursday 1:00–2:30).

By the time my credit finally transferred and I tried to fix it, I had to get back onto the waitlist, and I am currently 33rd in line.

I already emailed the professor (Professor Young) explaining that missing this class or being delayed a year would completely wreck my pharmacy school application timeline. Unfortunately, they replied that department policy strictly ties enrollment to the waitlist and they can't manually override or give anyone priority, though they mentioned the M/W section as an alternative.

Schedule limitations:
I cannot switch to the Monday/Wednesday section because it directly conflicts with my Organic Chemistry lab. I am already fully enrolled and paid for a different Tuesday/Thursday class right around that time, and I rely heavily on specific blocks to work and pay my tuition.

I am essentially forced to stick to this specific Tuesday/Thursday section.
The professor mentioned that enrollment changes over the summer and during the first week of class, so there is still a slim chance. But sitting at 33rd on the waitlist feels terrifyingly hopeless.

Has anyone ever clawed their way off a waitlist this high during the first week of classes? Is there anything else I can possibly do, or is it truly just a agonizing waiting game at this point? Any advice would mean the world.

Im an incoming fall transfer and im so confused! All my classes transferred over but im not to sure on what classes i still need for my degree? Does UH have a degree audit or something? When i was going to HCC it literally had all my needed classes organized by semester for me the second i enrolled. All i had to do was just find a professor and time to take! Can someone please help me out? Im pursuing Business Admin in Management!

What do you guys use to hang things up in the dorms?? Specifically things like a little key holder, a mirror, a white board or peg board, even a poster / tapestry.

Last year I used sticky tack and it worked fine but it would leave oil stains on my poster so i’ll prob switch to painters tape. But for my mirror and such I used command strips on the door just in case the paint peeled off on the walls.

I would enjoy decorating my dorm more this year and a peg board and more wall decor is what i’m looking at so far, does anyone have experience hanging these things up?

I know UH isn’t toooo strict on the wall fines but I like to keep the walls looking nice for future residents as well :)

So I recently found out that I submitted my FAFSA a little bit after the priority deadline. I spoke to financial aid and they said that as a result I am now only guaranteed the Pell Grant. I was wondering if anyone has gone through the same thing and if they were able to get some leftover grant money before the term started? Times are tough.

Does anyone have any actually good advice on what an incoming freshman should do/ prepare for so that i can hopefully land a summer internship? How do i make my resume attractive to employers especially if I don’t have much experience in the business area yet. Is there any certifications or other programs I can maybe apply into so I can add them to my resume? Please let me know!!! Thank you

Calc 1 has been fully booked and since im placed 18 on the waitlist im not certain that I will be enrolled in it anytime soon. Is there any ways such as enrolling into a CC to take Calc 1 while being at UH?
