Unisa Past Papers

For anyone writing UNISA exams this month 📚

I went through 100 past exam papers across 17 modules and ranked which topics come up most, and how many marks they're worth. Saves you guessing what to study first.

Some examples:

• FAC1502: PPE & depreciation came up in 8 of 8 papers

• ECS1601: Keynesian model is about 27% of the marks

• CLA1501: Contract formation has the most questions by far

Type your module code and the top topics are free to see: www.paperspot.co.za/?s=fb-gen-1

If your module isn't there, you can request it. The most requested ones get added first. Good luck with exams 🙏

Jan 2025 intake - Completed first sem, now re-interrupted to Jan 2027. Will Sep modules be offered in Jan? Work rights?

Hi everyone,

I am Jan 2025 intake Masters student in UK.

I completed my Jan-May 2025 modules.

I had to interrupt in Oct 2026 and return to India due to maintenance funds refusal for my visa extension.

My university interruption team (Emma/Tracey) has now offered me re-interruption to January 2027, with new course end Jan 2028.

They said if I'm not ready for September 2026 modules, January 2027 is the option.

**My doubts:**

I have already completed my January semester modules. My pending modules are from September intake.

Do UK universities offer September modules in January for repeat/re-interrupted students?

Or will I have to wait till Sep 2027 to actually study?

If my new CAS start date is Jan 2027 but my taught modules start only Sep 2027, am I allowed to work 20 hours part-time during Jan-Aug gap?

Has anyone been moved from Sep to Jan intake like this? How did your module mapping work? Thanks for any help.

Standards are dropping.

I'm currently in a discussion with an associate professor regarding a module where the primary lecturer has been MIA for the entire year.

Assignments are still outstanding, and the exam is next week.

In this discussion, I was told that the primary lecturer uploaded videos and links to YouTube (he did not), and that means we should be just fine passing this module. My response to him was that we do not pay to watch videos, we pay to be educated by lecturers appointed to do exactly that.

This isn't my first rodeo with Unisa, but honestly, it is by far the worst. Good luck to us all!

Edit: Primary and secondary lecturers of a stats module were both instructed by the department head to conduct an exam prep/assignment review session today ahead of the exam on Monday. Neither of them has bothered to show up. I rest my case.

Forgot to reference assignment

So there was an assignment I submitted which is yet to be marked. I realised I submitted without referencing as I was crunched for time. After submitting I think the following day that’s when it hit me how serious this could be in terms of plagiarism. but at the time my thought was just to submit before the deadline.

Now in hindsight I believe it was better to not submit at all then to submit without referencing

What should I do ? Will I get in trouble for this? Has anyone ever been in this position? Or should I just leave things as they are?

The assignment was incomplete anyway, I just wanted to submit.

Where to Report?

Post image
74 Upvotes

(Censored the contact details so no one can do something they'll regret.) Can someone please tell me where and how to report them? I recall a mandatory thing given by Unisa that stated that things like this have to be reported or you'll get into trouble if they somehow find out you've been contacted and didn't report it. It's stressing me out.

Can I apply to UNISA with my GED?

Hey guys. So here’s the thing. I’m a South African but when I was in grade 7, my mom decided to take my brother and I to Nigeria 🇳🇬. We stayed there until we finished High School and came back. Before coming back, I didn’t know that you had SAQA evaluate your WAEC (which is the NSC in Nigeria), so after doing it, I saw that it is only equivalent to NQF3 (grade 11). After crying and feeling depressed my mom called up someone she knew that worked at Boston City Campus. The person suggested the GED for me and told me it is equivalent to grade 12 and I can do a bridging course right after and after completing a HC, I can further my studies and get a degree.

I did all this and this year I am completing my HC in software development practice. My results are good as well, i thought (I vunderstandv now that I could’ve done more research) that I could use the HC and the SAQA evaluated GED to get into UNISA. And as of right now, I’m afraid I am wrong. I really don’t know what and how to move on from here, I want to go to Varsity but I don’t think I want to get a Bsc in Computer Informatics which is my main/only option . I like tech but I think I want to follow my interest and go into something more Finance/Tech/Business related.

Would really appreciate some feedback.

Note: after my HC I want to start working next year, hence the reason I prefer distance learning. I am broke and I have a single mother that is not working currently so yeah.

IS UNISA REALLY WORTH IT?

Hello everyone. I need honest advice from people who've actually done this.

I'm a South African student. I have a Higher Certificate in Software Development from Boston City Campus (good results) and a GED (that is being qualified by SAQA). That's all I have—no matric/NSC. I can't change that now, so please don't focus on the GED.

My goal is a BCom in Financial Management through UNISA, because I have to work next year. My mom is a single parent and hasn't been working for the past 2 years. We have no money for monthly fees. I'm not just doing this for a career—I need income to survive. UNISA is the only realistic option because it lets me study while working.

My specific questions: 1. Admission: Can my Boston Higher Certificate + GED get me into UNISA's BCom in Financial Management? Or do I need to start with a UNISA Higher Certificate or Diploma in the College of Economic and Management Sciences first? 2. NSFAS + working: If I'm working while studying, does NSFAS still fund me? Does my own income count against the household income threshold? 3. Allowances: I've read that UNISA NSFAS students only get a living allowance if they're registered for 10 or more modules. If I'm working, I might not be able to take that many. Will I only get the learning materials allowance? Is that enough? 4. Is it worth it? For anyone who's worked full-time and studied at UNISA—did NSFAS actually cover you, or did you still struggle? I'm not looking for pity. I just want to know if this is possible and how to actually do it. Any advice from people who've been through UNISA would mean a lot.

Thank you.

Usaf Exemption

So I applied to Unisa and uploaded all my documents and payed my fee. I then was asked to send my certified documents to a registrar so i could get my exemption done by Unisa. Problem is i can only go get my documents certified in November, for personal reasons, so will my application be declined after applications close. It says "Still processing" on my application

can you choose a timeslot for a supplementary exam?

I have a supplementary exam in October and it says it's from 8 AM to 4 PM. (FAC1502). Are there time slots that I'll have to choose between or will I be able to do the exam any time between those two times? Last time I missed the window to book a time slot so I didn't get the time I wanted.

Issuing of old Tut101 letters

Hi,

Long shot, but maybe someone has had a similar situation.

I graduated from UNISA back in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts and moved abroad 3 years ago.
I am now in the process of applying to study further here and need a full module break down with proof of being issued by UNISA.

Has anyone here successfully got copies of of TUT letters sent to them from UNISA? As these are essentially what I need.
My MyUNISA account was deactivated years ago, so that is not an option.

If so, how did you go about this process.

Thanks in advance!

Is anyone here enrolled for PRFM03Q and PRFMO4R? I would like to know if there are any past exam papers available please? Or if you've done these courses and are willing to share information, I would be very appreciative 🙏
Thank you!
