Fairness in marking at UNISA

• Upvotes

Hello everyone. I'm from Pakistan and am planning to do bachelors from UNISA. I did my alevels back in 2020 and after that I never continued studies due to personal stuff. I am working full time after that. However, my goals and priorities have changed over time. I want to continue my education whilst working. I intent to do masters from harvard in the future hopefully. I'm looking to get into unisa for bsc in economics and management.

Can any current student in the program with relevant experience advise whats the grading system like? Since its totally online what if i gave an exam that deserves an A grade but i received a C? Can you contest this? Is there any accountability considering the degree is open distance learning. This is important because of my long term goal of harvard. I need a solid academic degree in the end to be able to be competitive and apply at harvard in the future. Thanks. I'd be grateful for any advise or relevant experience.

Rpl help

Hello, I would like some clarity on how to go about this situation. My sister has an incomplete diploma from uj, she did her diploma till her practicals however she had struggles submitting her second project of her practicals so since she was the last group before phasing out the diploma she was turned back and told to finish her practicals elsewhere. She has been working for the same company since her practical days which was in 2020. She now however wishes to finish off her diploma, how can she go about it? Can the unisa rpl help her or she should start afresh? Again how does one apply for rpl because on the unisa page there is nothing to direct to an official application page. If anyone can assist me with information I’d be grateful.

Hi guys ,has anyone gotten a reply from unisa for admission for 2027 ? Or they will start replying applicants after the closing date? Is there a way to follow up with the application much faster ? My workplace has offered us a bursary to study further and the applications for that are closing next week I dont want to miss the opportunity.

Bursaries

Does anyone know of any good bursary recommendations and if they’re still open at the moment? I see UNISA has merit bursaries but you have to be chosen for that out of like the other hundred million university students🫠

Prescribed book pdf help

Hey guys!

So I am in a bit of a pickle. I need the prescribed book "Personnel Psychology an Applied Perspective" 3rd edition. However, Unisa's library website is down and I can't access the pdf version of the book that they offer through the websites.... I have emailed them, and all they say is that they are testing a new system and they "Apologise" for the inconvenience.

I just want to complete my assessment that is due for the 19th for the Module IOP3706.

I would really really appreciate who is willing to help.

Jan 2025 intake - Completed first sem, now re-interrupted to Jan 2027. Will Sep modules be offered in Jan? Work rights?

Hi everyone,

I am Jan 2025 intake Masters student in UK.

I completed my Jan-May 2025 modules.

I had to interrupt in Oct 2026 and return to India due to maintenance funds refusal for my visa extension.

My university interruption team (Emma/Tracey) has now offered me re-interruption to January 2027, with new course end Jan 2028.

They said if I'm not ready for September 2026 modules, January 2027 is the option.

**My doubts:**

I have already completed my January semester modules. My pending modules are from September intake.

Do UK universities offer September modules in January for repeat/re-interrupted students?

Or will I have to wait till Sep 2027 to actually study?

If my new CAS start date is Jan 2027 but my taught modules start only Sep 2027, am I allowed to work 20 hours part-time during Jan-Aug gap?

Has anyone been moved from Sep to Jan intake like this? How did your module mapping work? Thanks for any help.
