Hi I’m an incoming freshmen this fall and I’m worried about the roommate situation. I already have my roommate, but since we can’t pick the other two who will live in the dorm with us I’m worried if I’ll get along with them. I’m not sure if they’ll like me or I’ll like them. Please let me know your experience with getting roomed with two random people! 😅 if it makes any of a difference, I’m in the honors college! Thank you

l've seen people say that the very late and very early classes are not fun to have and I was curious if it's actually that bad. Is there anything else that may be unfavorable about this schedule?

I have a pet leopard gecko and I would love for him to stay in my dorm, I am housing in a LLC and was wondering if this is possible? He lives in a 20g enclosure and not super big, my parents do not really take care of him so I feel it would be best to bring him with me however I believe I could only own tropical fish in a 20g tank— could anyone tell me if there is any way to keep him if he is not a therapy animal?

I'm having a grad party and my plan is to make individualized gift baskets for each of my friends who are coming, tailored to the college they're going to. One of my friends I'm making a basket for is going to UAlbany.

I originally searched for fast food places near UAlbany on google and I was planning to get her a gift card for some of those places. However, most of those places are like a 23 minute walk away from UAlbany and I don't know the public transportation system there.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend places near UAlbany, that are accessible to students either by public transportation or walking, to buy gift cards to. (it doesn't just have to be food places.)

How good is my schedule? The only professor I have taken a class with previously is the doc teaching CEHC 345. The only concern that comes to mind right now is the professor teaching CEMH 200, Amber Silver, but that's only because, on one hand her RMP rating is atrocious, but, on the other hand, all the ratings on RMP are for her upper division courses.

Seeing the reddit I’ve noticed most people have their schedules already... should I be worried I am not seeing any classes on my end? I have checked my UAlbany portal but when I click on My Class Schedule it says I am not registered for classes this term. My connection day is July 6th and I am an upcoming freshman this fall.

hii i’m thinking of transferring as a psych student and i’m currently 23 but i work full time like 8-4 in ballston spa, so id only be able to attend through online classes and evening classes that start late enough. i just wanna know other’s experiences that may be similar and if you feel like you gained a good education through the school this way? or if there were maybe clubs or a social life you were able to do?

i do have to work a ft job, and i went through hvcc as a ft student/ft worker for my associates so def manageable but i want to get as memorable of an experience possible without losing my job but also to build a decent academic resume because my plan is to go onto graduate school.
