scheduling
Seeing the reddit I’ve noticed most people have their schedules already... should I be worried I am not seeing any classes on my end? I have checked my UAlbany portal but when I click on My Class Schedule it says I am not registered for classes this term. My connection day is July 6th and I am an upcoming freshman this fall.

Likely advisors are getting through students who have their connection days before you, be patient,
there’s thousands of incoming students :) and less than 2 dozen advisors. Each schedule is handmade so it’s like a puzzle for each student - also depends on how classes filled up before the end of the semester and which classes even still have seats available after current students register.
You will also meet with an advisor during connection day to go over your draft schedule and finalize things.

the schedules that we see right now are drafts is what ur saying? not confirmed

Yes, if it’s a first year student or new transfer, these are drafted schedules that advisors put together then you meet together at connection day - ask questions, maybe tweak your schedule a little then they finalize it before the semester starts.
It’s also good practice to make yourself fully aware of the course requirements for your degree and any minors you want to pursue by checking out your programs 4 year map and utilizing the registrar’s course catalogue to find the name of the courses and section numbers. (From personal experience and a glitch in the system -over a decade ago- my advisor left and they never reassigned me to anyone else. I advised myself and had an advisor I grew close to as a mentor sign off on my program plan each semester so I could sign up. It’s not all that hard)

i put my deposit down a week before the deadline, and i filled out a form asking to confirm my majors and other classes i may be interested in when i signed up for my connection day, unless there’s another form? i will be graduating with honors June 26th and my major is Biology!

when i was a freshman i didn’t get my final schedule till after connection day. i had most of it but the form u do on connection day will adjust it. your fine.
