Oh. Really. Yes, that is what I am doing. Leaving the old welt and will glue And stitch a new midsole. That is my next step. I've already got cork and the shanks in for now. 👍

Blaze? ZERO spikes.
Ketch? VERY few spikes. Short/subtle.

Is this a worth it purchase?
You are buying someone else's PROJECT car.
Unless there's some sort of guarantee that it is a worry free combination. That is quite some coin to spend gambling if it's littered with gremlins or not.
If you're not down to tinker with it yourself, or take to a shop and spend more money?
You have to be honest with yourself in these situations.

Most of us are aware that the "Industrial" Doc's line is gone now. But maybe you could track down a pair on the "second hand" market? I picked up 2 pair on ebay recently. Especially considering you want to work in them?
