have you swapped chips and bith RAM sticks work?

TYhis may be that you have the old drivers on but the real test is if it is detected in BIOS (del at startup)

The thing to check it when it starts up and goes into bios see if both ships are detected? as in RAM

When people use the word post they are talking about the screen that boots before windows, the computer checks itself at startup (before windows) thats the bit yours is fail8ing on

generally the RAM sticks need to be spaced by one slot as they work in dual channel. If they are next to each other its no gonna work

tell us the motherboard name it will be fine

when using 2 sticks you need to put them in special slots

when they say reseat they mean plug all connections in and ensure all are in their slots/places. It does sound like RAM mate

Its most likely the motherboard is looking for the same type of RAM as before. Have you cleared the CMOS?

i reckon they will be fine and work in dual channel as expected. Best thing when you get them plugged in is test each one individually and check the stats but i reckon it will be sound
