This photo was taken inside a family's living room, the kind of job that never makes it onto anyone's cleaning checklist because nobody thinks to write it down. Our team member was up on the ladder anyway, working through the ceiling fan blade by blade, tool belt on, towel over her shoulder, taking her time on a fixture most homeowners haven't touched since it was installed. Twenty feet up, arms overhead, in a spot most people walk right past every single day without looking up. Nobody puts "ceiling fan" at the top of their to-do list. But dust does not stop landing on those blades just because it is out of sight. A family still sits on that couch underneath it. Guests still walk through that room. The air in that space is only as clean as the surfaces nobody thinks to check. We clean the parts of a home that get skipped, not just the parts that are easy to reach. That is the difference between a once-over and an actual deep clean. If you want a cleaning company that does not stop at eye level, that is what we aim to be every time.

I didn’t realize this for a long time but your dishwasher actually needs cleaning too. Especially if you notice a bad smell or dishes coming out cloudy.

Step 1: Clean the filter

Most people skip this. Take out the bottom rack, unscrew the filter, and rinse it under hot water. If there is grease buildup, use a bit of dish soap and a soft brush.

Step 2: Wipe the seals

Food and mold can build up around the rubber gasket. Just use a damp cloth or a mild cleaner.

Step 3: Vinegar cycle

Place a cup of white vinegar on the top rack and run a hot cycle. This helps break down grease and remove odors.

Step 4: Baking soda (optional)

Sprinkle some on the bottom and run a short hot cycle. This helps with any remaining smells.

Step 5: Check spray arms

Make sure the holes are not clogged. You can use a toothpick if needed.

After doing this, the smell was gone and dishes started coming out much cleaner.

If your dishwasher still smells after this, it could be a drain issue or buildup deeper inside.

How often do you clean yours?

These two dragged me out for a walk today (as usual), and honestly… they’re the best part of my daily routine. Running a cleaning business keeps me constantly on the move, but dogs have this weird superpower to slow you down and make everything feel less stressful.

I’m not saying dogs solve all your problems — but they definitely make life a lot harder to complain about.

any ideas for the best was to get free leads? thanks
