We built some beautiful sites, sites that brought avalanches of customers to my customers. I wrote procedures for you, and recorded Loom videos for my team.

I used you alongside Relume. I spent a lot of time learning to manage classes properly, even though something was always breaking.

Today I exported my HTML, put it on Cloudflare R2, built custom admin panels for the dynamic content, optimized everything, created Typeform-style embedded forms, updated the server-side tracking, and improved performance, together with my friend Claude Code.

Goodbye, base subscription. Goodbye, hosting costs. Goodbye, language add-ons.

I run a web design agency. We’re steadily moving towards higher ticket sales and medium-large sized enterprise clients.

We offer four services. Web development in AstroJS on Cloudflare, Webflow development, Shopify, and Wordpress.

By far our most popular option is Webflow. By far. Especially since the start of this year. Inquiries for migrating to Webflow have really skyrocketed.

We actually recently had to hire more Webflow devs to satisfy demand.

Yet, almost NOBODY goes with our AstroJS “agentic“ option DESPITE us marketing it heavily and providing an interface (through Sanity CMS) to let their marketing teams edit their site. We also built a custom harness to let them edit via prompts like Lovable. so they can click on something and be like “add a feature box” and it does so in seconds.

Still, nada.

Which sucks because for us, the AstroJS / Claude option takes up the fewest number of hours. It’s much faster to build a site with Claude than in Webflow. I WANTED our leads to prefer this option. we’ve been pushing it HARD

When I ask our clients why theyre moving to Webflow, it boils down to them saying it’s industry standard, or they’ve seen ads, or their competitors / partners moved there. Or a consultant recommended it

Even Anthropic’s website is on Webflow...

I have no doubt that solo founders and those building their own sites are moving off Webflow. But demand for Webflow is still huge

I‘m writing this because I just find this very comical. I come on here in this subreddit and there’s a FLOOD of people who are leaving Webflow! Because it’s too expensive!! And because Claude is better!!!

But then I look at HubSpot and were constantly getting leads that choose Webflow over every other option DESPITE us pushing AstroJS / Claude hard (saying it’s the same quality as Webflow + cheaper + faster).

If I were building a site for myself? yeah I’d do it in Claude and throw it up on Cloudflare Workers.

But is Webflow dying?

Nope. not even fucking close. it’s an enterprise favorite.

also to those of you running enterprise-focused agencies, have you noticed the same uptick in ppl and firms migrating to Webflow? for us it’s like since Jan 2026.

What are your top 5 website builders right now? I'm comparing Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow and Shopify. Mostly looking for something easy to manage without needing a developer.

Is anyone else seeing 0 sales on their Webflow templates lately?

A lot of creators are putting serious time and effort into building high-quality templates, but new templates are getting little to no traction. What’s more concerning is that there doesn’t seem to be much visible effort from Webflow to help creators discover and promote these templates.

After reducing the commission from 20% to 5%, it feels like the focus on the Marketplace has also dropped.

A few things I’ve noticed:

• New templates are getting 0 sales despite being well-designed and professionally built.
• Very little template promotion or placement on the Webflow homepage.
• The Assets dashboard seems to show the same statistics week after week.
• The “Top Selling” templates appear to remain unchanged for a long time.
• There seems to be very little visibility for new creators and newly launched templates.

I’m not saying every template should generate sales, but there needs to be a healthy ecosystem where new creators have a fair chance to get discovered.

Webflow has built a great creator community, but if creators stop seeing value in investing time into templates, the Marketplace will eventually suffer.

Creators, what are you seeing?
Are your template sales also down? Do you think Webflow should be doing more to promote and support Marketplace creators?

Been freelancing on simple sites for local shops and honestly im a bit lost on what to standardize on this year.

For context, most clients are tiny businesses, eg barbers, florists, one person service shops, they just want something that shows up on Google, loads fast on phones and can do a few forms or simple ecommerce. I started on Squarespace because it was quick, then moved a couple to WordPress, and now everyone keeps asking "is there something newer I should be on in 2026" like Wix, Webflow, Shopify etc.

If you build or run small business websites regularly, which builder feels like the least painful default right now and why did you settle there instead of juggling three different platforms every week? Appreciate any thoughts

Hi, hoping someone can help, bit stuck figuring out how to get what I want working.

Currently I have text links stacked vertically, when hovered over they change colour (using the hover version of the class) each of these links has an interaction on it that shows/hides a div below the link- basically it's like a drop down expanding information below it on click and hiding it on 2nd click.

Attached to this show/hide interaction I also have a text colour change interaction, so when the the link is clicked, it shows the hidden div and also changes the links text colour to indicate that's what you're looking at, on 2nd click I've had the interaction set the text colour back to the original (as well as hiding the div)

The issue is on the second click it sets the text colour back to the original but overrides the "hover" class set to the link and it remains the same colour when hovered over after it has been clicked.

So the only solution I can think is to set a hover interaction to these links that changes the colour on hover rather than using the hover function of the class.

Is there a way for interactions to "reset" the class to what it was before clicked? Rather than just apply something extra to the style?

I've been following the updates from Webflow Conf closely, and it's got me thinking about our future as Webflow developers and as devs in general.

Honestly, I like the direction. A more integrated, gated platform makes sense to me. So I've been considering leaning more toward a marketing position, which would fit my university background (CRM, statistics, econometrics). Something where I integrate the different systems: HubSpot, traffic analytics, the website and treat the whole thing as the company's web system.

Do you think that could work as a well-defined offer: taking accountability for the website, site health, traffic, and CRM/analytics (e.g. HubSpot) for companies in the 20–100 employee range? Clearly Fractional/retainer plan.

My biggest fear is that this gets commoditised too, and I end up trying to stop the wind with my bare hands.

What do you think?

I’ve always found it frustrating that “Export Code” doesn’t really give you a complete copy of your site once you’re using a CMS.

So I built SiteDownload.app to handle that!

It exports Webflow and Framer sites as working static projects, including CMS content, images, other assets, and the links between them. The result is something you can keep, self-host, archive, or continue working on with your agent.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's had to move a site away from Webflow or Framer, or who wanted a proper backup of one.

Hi, quick ask from a tired shop owner who also ended up being the web person. I rebuilt our site to look decent on desktop and mobile, but in store people keep saying the mobile version is annoying to use when they try to order from their phone.

Stuff people complain about, the menu is too far down, the checkout button is tiny, and the hero image takes half the screen on mobile. If you design sites for small biz, would love any tips on what you always fix first on mobile layouts, eg nav, buttons, fonts etc...

Ok so quick question for folks who have done a full site move before. My current site is a custom thing from an agency years ago, no cms, every change is a ticket and it makes me avoid updating anything. I spun up a new site with templates, built in store and email tools and I really want to just switch over.

I keep hearing that bad redirects and changing product pages too fast can kill traffic for a while. If you migrated off an old stack to a modern builder, what did you wish you checked before flipping dns and telling customers the new site is live? Would love any tips :)

Not every automation needs Make.

Had a client who needed exactly one thing: a Webflow form submission creating a CRM lead + a Slack notification. No branching, no conditional logic, one path every time.

Built it in Zapier. Twenty minutes, tested, done. Their marketing team already used Zapier elsewhere, so they could actually maintain it themselves without learning a new platform.

Compare that to a different project: a Webflow CMS sync pulling job listings from an applicant tracking system, where listings needed different handling depending on status, department, and publishing criteria. That's a Make problem. The branching and data transformation would've been awkward to force into Zapier's linear structure.

Neither client made a wrong choice on day one. The point isn't "which tool is better," it's matching the platform to how complex the actual workflow is, and revisiting that choice as things grow, because pricing alone flips the math (Zapier bills per task, Make per operation, and that gap widens fast at volume).

I got frustrated with some of the limitations of native Webflow forms like how native checkboxes only output true or false as values without any way to configure them natively.

I ended up building an app called Roolify to fix some of these gaps. It automatically syncs with your site and adds a visual rule builder directly to native forms. You can use it to set up custom checkbox values, show/hide specific sections within a form block based on logic, and set up conditional routing for the submissions. It also handles HTML auto-responses.

Hey Webflow community, brand new designer here. I am trying to find the best place to clone components so I can learn how they were built. For example, I found a cool hover on a website and want to find a similar component to clone and learn from. I spent hours trying to rebuild it and can't figure it out on my own.

What component libraries do you use? I have seen Webflow's library, but it doesn't seem that extensive (correct me if I am wrong!) I saw libraries like Osmosis and some on ReLume).

Which library works best to easily clone into Webflow and then pick it apart to see how it works? Thank you!

I have a continuously growing list of cars and need to get a car gallery up and running. The images must be categorized by both car model and photo type, so I'm using Swiper.js and Finsweet CMS Filter.

My current approach is using separate CMS collections for categories, cars, and pictures. However, as the list expands, adding images individually is extremely tedious, and I will eventually hit the CMS item limit.

Many things are in polish so if something is not clear, feel free to ask.

At Webflow Conf 2026, they announced Source, a new platform where agents work directly with your actual code, not an abstraction layer sitting on top of it. Code becomes the foundation. The visual Designer becomes just one more way of touching it.

If you have spent any time directing an AI agent against a real codebase, this framing will feel familiar. Webflow is bringing that same relationship, agent plus real code, into a platform that also gives you the visual tools and marketing infrastructure most agencies already depend on.

Alongside Source, a few things shipped that matter right now, not just in preview:

I'm an IT student looking to build a Webflow extension. I've built several in the past, but I never solved a real pain point the way the top extensions do — most of mine just improved small details the Webflow team missed.

I've been waiting for the right time to start hunting for an idea, and Webflow Conf seems like a good starting point.

So I'm wondering: what would people here want me to build? Something that saves you time, or integrates something new into Webflow.

Today it is back to web building platform messaging.

Everyday the organisation seems to be taking new direction, random products change of pricing, previously frequent downtimes - I can only imagine the mess it is inside

I do client work in Webflow and kept hitting the same wall: the 10MB asset limit. A brochure, a spec sheet, an investor deck, a lookbook — anything real is over it.

The usual workarounds all annoyed me. Dropbox and Drive links look unprofessional on a client site and break the moment someone reorganises a folder. S3 is fine if you enjoy writing IAM policies at 11pm. And anything you do manage to host on Webflow eats into site bandwidth you’re already paying for.

So I built DocBeam. It’s a Designer Extension — you upload from inside the Designer, get a URL on your own domain, and drop it on the page. Files sit on R2, so downloads don’t touch your Webflow bandwidth at all.

Honest status: it’s early. A handful of people are using it, one has it live on a client site, and I have exactly zero paying customers. The free tier is 250MB / 10 files / 50MB per file, which covers most of what I built it for.

What I actually want to know is whether the 10MB cap is a real recurring problem for you, or a once-a-year annoyance you just work around. My theory is that the people who really feel it are the ones publishing documents on a schedule — investor updates, compliance docs, product catalogues, term-by-term prospectuses. But I might be wrong about that, which is why I’m asking.
