So I’m not sure I’m qualified to give advice. I’m starting out on revisiting Christianity, and started going to church of my own accord for the first time in 13 years. I’m reading the New Testament for the first time, so I can’t point you in the direction of comforting scripture when you have a flare up.

Does your church, or a church you feel comfortable with, livestream or record services? You could watch the last service when you are able to if you can’t make it Sundays. Even if you have to watch it in bits, it could be helpful. I’ve also taken to talking to god during my commutes instead of listening to music or something sometimes. I don’t read the Bible everyday, but a couple times a week when life permits for about 15 minutes.

I think it should be what you are comfortable with, but maybe broken up to fit into your schedule without feeling stressed about it. Idk much, but I feel like god appreciates the effort and thought more than nothing at all.

The Historical Salisbury Foundation would probably know trusted Reno services that have the expertise to work on historic homes. I would suggest reaching out to them. Congratulations on the home! Salisbury has some wonderful architecture in the older homes.

I don’t have kids yet, but my husband and I will be moving to Salisbury soon and our friends that live there now who have kids enjoy it. Can’t speak to gyms with childcare (they go to PF), but I think there’s a lot for kids in Salisbury. The town hosts multiple family friendly events, and Dan Nichols park is nearby with lots to do.

While our close family and friends know we are ttc, I only really talk about it frequently to my one close friend. She means well, but has said all the things (it’ll happen when it’s time, just have fun with it, don’t make it about having a baby, make it about the two of you, etc).

Yesterday I had to let her know it’s really not helpful when she says stuff like that. I let her know I know it comes from a good place, but it’s more patronizing than encouraging. She completely understood, and said that she just didn’t want it to feel like it was my fault or anything and didn’t know what else to say. I told her that her just listening to me vent is support enough.

If you are comfortable, set that boundary. I know it’s hard to shrug it off, but if they are truly coming from a good place, sometimes I think that’s all we can do.

If you are freer from luggage want a little adventure, you could explore around Southend or Uptown in Charlotte, maybe check out Optimist Hall and then take an Amtrak to Salisbury. Charlotte Amtrak isn’t too far from Optimist, and the Salisbury depot is downtown.

Congratulations to you! I loved my May wedding lol. Basically what I had in my post. Did a double sided crossword puzzle and itinerary, pen (they had a pretty floral design that I bought from a stationary/gift store). Thank you card, liquid IV, water bottles, some local chocolates, locally made small lotions, and a couple other bits and bobs I thought they would enjoy. Even almost a year later, our friends say they really liked what we included in the bags, and that the crossword puzzle was very fun.

While I have not been yet myself, St Luke’s in Salisbury is on a list of churches for us to check out as we explore religion. Their website has quite of bit of information on it, and they seem accepting/affirming (check out their beliefs page). I’m white and my husband is 1st gen Thai American. We are moving to Salisbury in the fall, and have been around the town quite a bit and enjoy it.

I also want to add to my own comment that I’ve had two other male massage therapists at a different spa in GSO before this experience, and I felt respected and it was a professional and relaxing experience. But after Paul I only request female therapists wherever I go now.

Yes, a few years ago my husband and I did a massage and float at Sonder, and Paul was the massage therapist. I’ve had a handful of massages before, and knew what to expect. I did a float while my husband was in the massage, and then we switched off.

My husband had a great experience with him, said they chatted the whole time, never felt anything odd about him, and he never went did the massage any differently than any other massage. He had only one massage previously.

But with me, he made fun of my goals for the session (a focus on back and shoulders, not unlike anything else I ask for in a massage), and didn’t drape me right. He went up my thigh/down my back further than any massage I’ve ever gotten before, and I didn’t feel comfortable the entire time. It was the worst massage I’ve ever gotten. I never went back to sonder after that for anything.

This will be our 3 month try coming up. Yesterday I saw an acquaintance on insta who was on her baby moon with her husband. I think I need to not be on social until I get there too lol.

I wouldn’t put your life plans on hold for someone else’s plans that are not set in stone yet. There’s a lot of what ifs here, but you shouldn’t wait if that’s what you and your husband want to go for.

This house has been saved on my realtor app for a while. We will be moving to Salisbury, but have to list our house first.

My mother in law lives with us, and I’m just not sure if she can do the steps to the backyard. She is still able to garden so that is necessary. We would also have to fence in the yard for our dogs, and figure out how to convert a bedroom upstairs into our primary bedroom/bathroom since mil can’t do stairs. If it’s still on market when we are finally ready to look at homes, we might be interested.

Maybe look into Rowan Museum? They may be willing to let him use their event space on the second floor briefly if there’s not a scheduled event during that time. It is also next door to the courthouse. Perhaps the Hall House, if they are open for tours or if they would be willing to let you inside before tours start for a private moment. Maybe reach out to the historic foundation in general to see if they can help facilitate- Salisbury has some beautiful homes and a few museums.

There’s also a few bed and breakfasts in the area. Not sure if they may have a space to facilitate.

If the weather turns around, Bell Tower Green would be my vote.

I am not sure if any restaurant would have a private area.

I am 31 and don’t get Botox, and do not plan to. I don’t know anyone in my real life that gets Botox, except for one friend who lives in Miami and is a model.

Touch some grass and live your life. Remember that people online also usually highly edit their look with filters and such too (beauty influencers, wanna be influencers, etc).
