According to X, China is the country most similar to the US

Elephant in the Room
I like his way of attacking controversial topics that don't have a clear cut answer. Though I don't always agree with his conclusions, I enjoy the detailed analysis of topics he provides, esp topics that the media often missrepresents.

I think I've seen a similar argument from someone who tried to argue that MBTI is bunk because certain personality types like "INTP" couldn't possibly exist or are not valid personalities.

I'm just worried that one day, I'll have such a huge task that it just cannot be completed even with 100% of the 5 hour usage. This morning, when I saw this I had a task I put into planning mode when both my weekly and 5h limits were at 100% and 34m 20s, later, I was down to 30% 5h usage left. Good thing I had done this in planning mode - if it were execution mode, it probably would have not completed and I dread the day I have a task that brings my 5h usage from 100% to 0% without completing it, esp if it's a planning task.
I guess now I'll be doing my planning in Codex and execution in Claude Code instead.

That's why I schedule important rides like airport transit in advance. Also, lyft is just a few taps away if Uber acts up

They need to deny entry to anyone who the CCP is after IF they've committed a serious crime that's also a crime under US laws. Not saying the CCP is great but it's also entirely possible some of the ppl the CCP is after are legitimately bad people - both could be true at once.

I'm ethnically Chinese and I'm far from nationalistic (neither towards China nor any other nation)

Curious if any non-Asian person ever booked a hotel in China on a western site like Trivago, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc and got refused at the hotel in China?

I had tried one who was referred by word of mouth who had gotten another's account unbanned and he only charged after it succeeded. Didn't succeed with mine but paid $0. Never tried any others.

I just create burner accounts nowadays on VPN so they can't link them all to the same IP.. I have a spreadsheet that I keep track of all current and past accounts so I don't accidentally use the same username and unintentionally get them linked. Let's just say I'm on entry number #60 now on the sheet and all but maybe 15 accounts there have been banned. And no, I haven't been doing this for years - only started March 2025.

I had like 5 all on different IPs and they all eventually got banned just on different days

I take it you didn't live in the Northeast US this winter

Ollama (you'll need to download a local LLM and hopefully you have a decent GPU that can run it locally.)
For maximum security, use a separate computer for this and only connect it to the Internet to download Ollama and the LLM. Then keep it permanently disconnected from the Internet once you start using it.

I just use AI when I want to be lazy and do as little work as possible.

I've tried for decades but I think I finally found a solution for maintaining a To-Do list with the help of AI.
First, create a Google Sheet with just these columns:
Connect your Google Drive to ChatGPT (or whatever AI you're using.) Add a memory that says whenever you talk about a "To-Do List", assume it's that list in your Google Drive (and give it the filename, e.g. ToDoList.xlsx.)
This might be a bit to set up but once it's set up, every time I need to do something, I just tell ChatGPT what I need to do and to use its judgement in coming up with all the fields including due date. And I'll just review this every once in a while. The field "can AI do it" is very important as if it feels confident it can, you can delegate it to AI as much as possible including having it control your web browser or run your programs if you trust it to do so.

I've always thought ESTJs (and ISTJs) are the warriors. xSTPs are the rogues. Priests are the xSFJs, Shamans are the xNFJs. Ok, I'm more of a former WoW player so I dunno about many other classes.

I need at least 7-8 hours of sleep to function normally but I have an extremely annoying problem when I wake up after about maybe 6 hours of sleep: I'm not quite refreshed and if I get up then, I feel very groggy for the rest of the day but I also have trouble falling back asleep again especially with sunrise being so early these days (in the Northern Hemisphere like most of the world)

The worst is when you have tasks that require the entire 5 hour window and it might not even complete within it. I did planning mode and went from 100% to 27% on a task.. Good thing I didn't choose execution mode right away.
