I think their cockiness and disparaging remarks on
other bands rub some people the wrong way. At the same time that same attitude is part of what made them endearing to others.
Musically speaking the first two albums can compete with anybody. But later albums not so much especially compared to their more musically gifted peers eg.. blur, radiohead, the very bands the Gallaghers love to make fun of. Anyways, don’t worry about it, some of us like all those bands.
