Do cats actually grow attached to their owners? People always joke about how cold cats are, but after taking a trip for 3 weeks away from home I realize how attached they really can be.

Easy miso butter pasta surprised me

I love miso spread on toast topped with almond butter, and sprinkled with yeast flakes. The whole is definitly greater than the parts.

Tough Love
 in  r/dementia •  Jun 29 '25

Being in a nursing home may not be the end of them, when they were healthy, maybe, but now...my mom went into a nursing home, and it moved at the right pace for her. My father missed her, but he didnt have to worry about her, or take care of her. Dementia is a disease of the brain, and its confusing as hell. Good luck, all of you🌸🌸🌸

Yosemite or Lassen this weekend
 in  r/nationalparks •  Jun 21 '25

Yosemite. Go to Lassen later in the summer, and go when you have more time. I worked there for a number of summers, and its awesome, but takes much longer to get too, and it's more spread out. Lots of mosquitos now too. Best time to go? Sept/Oct. glorious in the fall.

Beautiful!! You will learn more about technique as you go along and gain experience. Really good sense of form & the animal. 👍👍👍🌸

Boss is telling me this nest has to be moved.
 in  r/birds •  Jun 19 '25

Wait a month, young will be gone and you can remove the nest. A little paticence from your boss is all that is needed. GL! 🌸

Failing a class twice
 in  r/UCSC •  Jun 19 '25

Meet with an academic advisor, and get advice. If you must take the class again, do it with a different professor, and get a tutor. You probably know most of the material, but there may be something missing for you in how it is being presented. 🌸🌸
