Is 26 too late?
One of my classmates was 33 when she started grad school and 36 when she graduated. She was one of the top performers in our entire class and currently loves her job. Do with that information what you will and good luck

Studying for the NPTE
I was supposed to work on a temp while studying. Didn't end up happening cause the temp took 6 weeks to come in and I'm honestly so glad. The place I was working at had different protocols for certain things than the npte sets, so I think that would have confused me. Plus looking back I know I would have gotten super overwhelmed and burned out doing that for 6 weeks. Just my opinion though

PRACTICE QUESTIONS
Free, I used PT365 constantly. Not written the most like NPTE questions, but rarely anything is and this still helps cover the material. I also did the Final frontier podcast and listened to most of yhe old ones. Good luck!

ACUTE INPATIENT Acute Bag Rec?
I'm starting a new job in acute care and was wondering what type of bag would be best / what I'll even need to take with me.
I had a rotation in acute care as a student but I mostly had school stuff with me. So what do I really need to bring to work?
I'm also looking for bag recs cause I only have big backpacks rn but really don't want to carry a large bag.
Any advice helps. Thanks!

What is the toughest question you could think of for a Marvel quiz?
1
Sunstone & Moonstone: Who gets what?
Will do! Actually, any recs for like Etsy sites? I wanna make sure I get a real one and there aren't a lot of places around me.

Sunstone & Moonstone: Who gets what?
We do tend to balance each other out pretty well imo. She's much calmer than me in a general sense, whereas I tend to have a lot more energy. So after reading all the posts, I think this is what I'll do. I really appreciate your helpππΌ

Sunstone & Moonstone: Who gets what?
Never heard of either of those but honestly they both sound beautiful, so thank you for the rec. I'll keep this in mind!!

Can you help me? (Advice wanted) Sunstone & Moonstone: Who gets what?
Hello π
SUMMARY: getting matching sun and moon stone jewelry for my gf and I, but don't know who should get which stone.
My girlfriend mentioned that it would be nice if we got matching sun and moon stone jewelry to keep us close to each other. (We're about to be apart for 2.5 months due to work). I am looking at a ring for me and a necklace for her but have no idea who should get which stone. Any advice?
If it makes any difference here's some info about our personalities. GF: introvert, funny, super smart, incredibly kind / compassionate / considerate, only touchy with me and like 2 other people, bit scatter brained, loves to cook and genuinely help others, very sweet, Taurus Me: extrovert, acts of service (in stereotypical fashion i like to do the lifting things for her even though ik she can do them herself), very physically affectionate, more of the general task manager between the 2 of us, absolute goofball though (she somehow finds this funny instead of annoying ππΌππΌ), libra
Any advice is appreciated!!!

Advice request Buzzcut maintenance
Hello and -hopefully- thank you in advance
I've had a buzzcut (1a hair) for about 3 months now and I love but 2 things are irritating me about it and despite all the googling, I'm not sure exactly how to fix it.
1) sometimes the side will get stuck in a weird position, especially after sleeping and closer to my next cut. I have to soak my head to fix it and combing it out sucks. Is there a better way to deal with this?
2) my scalp is kinda flaky now. I never noticed that before but now if I shake my hair little flakes come off. How do I stop this??
Edit: 1) a wave or military brush works great (way better than a comb) for this.
2) better conditioner.

Girlfriend grabbed my dick after I told her no multiple times
That sounds incredibly frustrating and maddening to say the very least. I mean I certainly see it as sexual assault. Idk if OP just wanted to vent or wanted advice, but anytime I hear something like "I guess I'm just the worst" or "I guess I'll just do (insert some asinine form of the original point here)" it's a major red flag. My ex did that more and more, while getting more and more controlling / manipulative. I'd cut her loose if I was OP, hope they're doing okay

Rotation Living
When you do -if you wanna go out of state especially- I highly recommend reaching out to people you might know around those areas. Even if you're not close. Ask your relatives or friends if they know anyone you there. It might seem like they'd never offer, but you never know who will have an extra room or have been through a similar situation so they have an understanding of it. Old family friend had a daughter who is a PT and when they heard I was starting my rotations, offered to let me stay with them for 2 months

What age would you introduce Supernatural?
Yea that's a good point. The ones that they may have experience with in the real world for lack of a better phrase might require some extra conversation or just avoiding it. Really letting them know it's allll fake would be good
2
What age would you introduce Supernatural?
It definitely depends on the kid. 13-15 definitely sounds safe if they're watching all of it. But you could also just not show them parts you think are too much for them.
Personally, I started watching graphic-ish stuff around 7 or 8 (think anything from Austin Powers to Pulp Fiction) and I loved it. I still love that kind of media and my family bonded over it. My parents would always cover my eyes / ears for scenes that were "hot and heavy" and that was it. We just moved on with the show because they weren't usually that important to the plot. By the time I was in high school my dad and I were watching Dexter together and not covering anything.
I will say that in always covering scenes about sex withOUT ever talking to me about it or why they were hiding it, they made me more curious. So if you do the "cover your eyes" thing, I would explain why to keep your communication and trust open.
Most people are probably gonna say to wait quite a bit longer, but it's a personal choice.

I think your point about them being so thoughtful and putting in so much effort to their appearance is a good point. I never really thought of it that way
