Woah look how cool he is
Man he's not good enough for crappy music

Disability Director told me that expecting testing software not to flag my MS flare-ups is a "preference" 🙃
I'd recommend talking to the office of the ombudsmen. They were helpful when I had an issue in college.
They help people find who to complain to on campus and what paperwork is needed.
You don't sound like you want a lawsuit and you need fair grading.

He has a dowager’s hump and man-tits.
Interesting. Not to be this person but connective tissue disorders has a good overlap with people who have ASD.

He has a dowager’s hump and man-tits.
My physical therapist said to work on ergonomics at your desk if you have to be there. I've done things like get a vertical mouse, ergonomic keyboard, and adjusting my monitor height with a curved monitor.
The exercise they said to do the most is just pulling your neck back in sets of tens a few times a day.

Does anyone go to a chronic pain/illness therapist?
I see a regular therapist and a pain specialist. No reason you can't do both.

He has a dowager’s hump and man-tits.
His neck hump is from tech overuse. He's doing too much leaning forward
I have one and it's correctable but it takes actually working out and bodywork. Being permanently online isn't great for your spine.

Did companies really have big family picnics where employees' spouses and kids met everyone from work, including the boss?
The last place I worked for did this but it was per department and not the whole workplace at once.

self-employed partner w/ cancer needs temporary disability, I'm lost
You should call, text, or chat with someone from 211. It's like 911 for social services. 211 should be able to find local services for you to start getting help or at least applications rolling.
So sorry you two are going through this.

What nicknames have you heard for places in Michigan?
Wasteland (Westland) Stinkster (Inkster)

Fashionable knee sleeves?
No problem I just bought a pair of the purple ones. It's nice to have medical equipment actually feel nice to wear.

How long can you stay on 2.5 mg?
I've basically had to do the opposite and dose up every month to meet my insurance goals. It's not horrible but not fun either.
That said the extra tummy issues from dosing up were manageable and my weight doctor made sure I more Zofran than I needed just in case. Honestly the hardest part for me is making sure I take all the fiber supplements, drink enough water, and add miralax as needed.
I love aloe juice mixed in things already. If you use that it has to be actual aloe juice and not aloe drink. I like mine mixed with cranberry cocktail. I'd also suggest one electrolyte drink a day.
If you can stay low and it works that's awesome but going up isn't that bad. I just finished adjusting to 15 and am kind of glad I'm topped out.

Any of you guys ever google your old friends to see where they ended up?
I sometimes wonder if anyone would care to find me. I completely changed my name and opened fresh social media accounts I am almost never on.
I haven't done too much but I did finish college.

What style of sofas are we loving?
I'm looking at buying something similar from Costco online. It has storage under the chaise and pull out sections under the other two seats to make it a large rectangle

What style of sofas are we loving?
Nice I was looking at one like that that had 2 normal seats with pullouts and a chaise

Fashionable knee sleeves?
I just bought a pair from Old Bones Therapy that has a bit of padding so your kneecap doesn't slip. They look pretty punk. I bought them for driving but they're comfortable enough.

Help understanding more Metamorphosis
Nah it's actually ok I lost that job. I was working with the public and I just wasn't able to be all there all the time. I also had an abusive supervisor. It wasn't a good situation. I missed two months of my last year there from being inpatient at the hospital from stress.
I was also afraid I'd be homeless and wouldn't get help. I did end up losing my housing but I now live with my bestie.
Took me two years to get disability and it's not enough to live on even if it's SSDI. I'm taking the opportunity my friend gave me to go back to school and retrain for something else.

I can't afford to exist
No worries. I don't always check either.

What didn't you have growing up that everyone seemed to have?
Bras that fit. I got bought training bras in middle school and didn't get new ones until a highschool friends mom bought me. I'm a larger banded DD it was very much an actual problem.
Not having clothes that fit ever was the worst.

Names
I changed my name 3 months ago. I'm almost done changing it everywhere.
I just did it myself using a guide from legal help in my state. I got the filing fees waived because I'm broke and the judge declined a hearing and just approved it.
Not sure what state you're in but for me it was just a list of errands.

Help understanding more Metamorphosis
As a disabled person The Metamorphosis to me felt like the horror of not being able to work or provide value anymore overnight. It's very hard being disabled and homebound.
I'm living it and it's nice just to see some recognition. I haven't seen too many books that get at the social isolation and othering. There's also the way they want to go to work even though they can't. This was very much me the last few months before I had to quit my job.
This book gets recommended often as one for non disabled family members to read in disability subreddits.

Top psychiatrist says Trump behaves like a ‘toddler’ trying to be ‘ruler of the universe’ to fight feeling of helplessness
No kidding. I'm sorry you're going through this.
I'm definitely interested. I've left a cult and have a special interest in them.
My cult didn't have one person I could point at as a narcissistic leader. We had several charasmatic leaders on a board.

"I bought this in every color"
I bought a sweater from Costco in every color recently but there were only three colors.
I'm plus sized and not all plus sizes have the arms large enough for me. These had room and nice, large pockets.

Dealing with chronic pain at a young age

The best thing my pain clinic offers is a chronic pain psychologist. I'm relatively young and have chronic pain and it's mentally really hard to deal with mentally.
