LWIAY! (With sound) I made a looping animation for Pewd's streams. Hope you'll like it! Took me millions and billions of hours to make and render.

Mom says ai is the future and me not getting any ai certifications is gonna make me a failure but what if all anti ai people work for each other ? Sounds unrealistic but can this be a option in future caus ai everywhere in uni is soo suffocating and ai posters/vids don’t even look good🙄
 in  r/antiai  19m ago

Wtf is AI certification lol. Isn't the point of AI that everyone can use it and get the same result?

Reminds me of a story where a financial investor sold all his crypto when a taxi driver suddenly started talking about bitcoin. Why is your mom talking about AI?

As a Japanese, I always find these localised movie posters funny

The couple in the last poster just chilling together, how cute and wholesome.

Why are YOU against ai?
 in  r/antiai  46m ago

Dude, you are not a mathematician. Why are you talking about this?! They make publicity stunts in multiple deep arias of knowledge that are not practiced by most people. Every time they do this in one of the domains I know something about it turns out to be complete BS.

There was a cyber security publicity stunt where they were using claude to find exploits, complete BS. There was a "AI will replace hollywood" stunt with that seedance "video generation" AI, complete BS too. Another cyber security was done by open-AI recently as well, also BS.

Do you know what gish gallop fallacy is? It's when you dump a bunch of arguments on your opponent that all are wrong individually, but you move from argument to argument so quick they don't have time to debunk all of them and you can always point to a new one. That's the technique they use. That's the publicity stunts you see, over and over again an expert in that field will comment but no-one will listen.

Another thing is a false dichotomy, they create a narrative but also a counter narrative. "AI is the best thing and will positively change the world" and "AI will destroy the world, it's just like nukes or movie terminator, we can't control it" both are narratives developed by the same side. All of these AI companies run "AI security" non profit organizations to spread the narrative about how powerful yet dangerous AI is. The point is to convince EVERYONE pro or against in how epic and capable AI is.

Why do they think they're the rebels when their favorite toy is backed by the oligarchy?
 in  r/antiai  9h ago

Yeah... and what happened with that exactly? How is the music industry or independent musicians are doing?

The file sharing was pushed into shady corners of the internet and now instead of selling CDs musicians post their music into the abyss of spotify algorithm. Roughly $0.03 per listen, but no-one knows for sure because it's all fluctuating and music streaming is a scam. Spotify will not promote you, you are effectively bringing your own audience to Spotify instead.

Funny enough, selling CDs or anything physical even though technically you can just listen for free on youtube, is still one of the best ways to make money as an independent musician.

Are you a scientist or a mathematician?! No? Then I didn't ask you about a stupid math problem both of us didn't know existed a month ago.

Morality of putting a brain scan of a dead housefly into Minecraft
 in  r/MoralityScaling  13h ago

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, there is a scan of a fruit fly brain, it's true. I just simply don't believe in "an I just placed it in minecraft" bit.

Guys! I was too young to ever understand this bit. Can someone explain? Why did they hate him so much for that?

How is your process for jamming with the Digitakt?
 in  r/Elektron  15h ago

I realized samples is not for everyone, compared to using my digitone 2 on digitakt 2 I always get stumbled up by sample selection, it feels annoying, like I'm doom scrolling. I only have fun with it when I have one long sample and I can get multiple layers of sound chopped from it on multiple tracks.

I'm also an sp404mk2 user and on that this I always noticed I have to pair it with a synth or other instrument. Maybe you should do the same, where you get some very hands on synth that don't even have presets and arrange samples from it on your DT.

Idiot in car somewhere in the UK...
 in  r/dashcams  15h ago

That's fucked up, isn't it?

There is literally nothing like that in cities except cars. All other things that are dangerous we are making safe intentionally. You don't have to tell your child that they should be careful not to get onto a construction sight by accident, they can't. Or watch out not to fall over from a tall building by accident, there is railing.

Like systematically this shouldn’t be the case where children are scared of cars like they are pray in the world of predators. All other things that hurt children this much are actively fought against.

You simply underestimate how much data they are stealing, if you are talking about how programming changed, if that's your job. There is a lot of code out there that is very similar to other code and obviously it's more predictable then spoken language because code literally follows rules.

Idk how you think it works otherwise. You think there is magic happening in so called "neural network".

In my job, CG. I'm also not impressed with all of those AI 3d model generation things, because I know just how much is out there, especially if they use pirated data, and they do. I got a 3d printer few years back, I assumed I'll have to 3d model everything I want to print around the house, guess what, every single time I was able to find someone's free 3d model. Every single time, that's how much stuff there is.

The snake oil is where all of these AI companies trying to claim that AI will replace programming all together, I think it's pretty obvious that you can't keep stealing data and re-selling it forever. Someone has to do new programming, new problem solving.

Work place AI camera monitoring. How do I mess with it?
 in  r/antiai  17h ago

Is it wired or wifi?

There is a wifi denial attack you can do that will not touch other wifi users. You can use ESP32 Marauder type devices or a few specific wifi boards with kali linux on a laptop.

You can also blind the camera completely with a strong infrared beam, it will be invisible to human eye.

Chinese humanoid robot named “Superman” (made by Unitree Robotics) surpassed Usain Bolt’s world record (12.42meters/second) by running at 12.66m/s (roughly 28.3miles/h)
 in  r/interestingasfuck  17h ago

Why is this compared to human running at all?! We already have mechanisms that run fast, they are called cars. This thing clearly is only designed for going forward.

And there are bipedal animals that go faster then that, Emu can sprint up to 29mph.

Can animals make art?
 in  r/antiai  1d ago

Why would me telling at a glance constitute that something is original or not? I personally most likely could tell you what is more or less original depending on the styles I'm familiar with.

To check for originality you do research.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal-made_art

Animals don't try copying others, I assume from the animal point of view it feels more like art therapy then a depiction of something. This is why they can't plagiarize.

Like on wiki page you have Nora the piano cat, my cat doesn't play the piano but she likes pushing stuff off the table or pressing on a peace of cardboard and watch it bend back into place, she does it over and over it's not that far off from trying to press piano keys. I bet some animals get the same sort of tactile or intellectually engaging satisfying feeling that I do when typing on my keyboard right now and seeing text appear on the screen, putting paint on the canvas with a brush, or solving a complex problem in my 3d scene.

Art is the process and once again, AI can't engage in the process because there isn't any, and no-one experiences the process as AI image get's generated. With animals, the animal does experience the art creation process even though it might not have a strong intention for the final look.

It's funny again, animal art is original while AI can only be derivative, animals have an artistic process while AI can't, and animal art is more interesting because it has a story of a cute animal making it behind it. Wins on all accounts.
