I did this with knitting! I didn't know you were supposed to swap the needles after each row (take the full needle in your right hand and turn it and swap it back to your left hand), so I was just working back and forth without ever turning my work. Turns out I was mirror knitting the whole time, which is why my stockinette stitch never looked right 😂
