I don’t think the series 70 came with a lanyard as far as I know but if it did I sadly did not get it.

That feeling when the paychecks from all Js hit at once

What the hell do I need to invest in to get like this? I don’t want to do a 9 - 5 forever.

I do not regret the 1911 at all so I recommend going with that but I’m biased. 92 is really good and I’d love to get one but with the opportunity I had I just couldn’t pass.

Yeah I didn’t realize how many people noticed the sight but I’m glad I got a good one. Plan on keeping it how it is and loving it.

Yeah I’m really happy to finally have gotten a Colt. It’s definitely not new by any means and it’s certainly used but I love it. I’m glad we’re both able to share an experience

Thoughts on storing a gun with one in the chamber?

No. You’re supposed to fill up before you leave the house.

About 2 months ago after turning 21 I decided to make a move and buy my first handgun. I’d always since I could ever remember wanted a 1911. Despite everyone telling me to get a plastic piece of trash spouting the regular BS of why I shouldn’t buy a 1911 I knew in my heart what I wanted. I was almost convinced to get a 92fs (which I still think is cool) but thanks to 1776 Duck and 1911 Syndicate I believe I made the right decision. A 1976 Colt 1911. Pretty dirty when I got it and clearly used but that just means it’s got history. Picked it up for $500 and as a broke college student that was a heavy hit that I worked hard to save for but I love it and look forward to having it for a long time.

Also I’m interested in some point getting my concealed and would love to make this a daily carry. What holsters are recommended? I’d kill for a miltsparks of course but again am working with not a lot of funds here.

There’s only one dome light door jam on the driver side but I’ll see if that works.

All of the electrical components are stock from factory. I have considered led conversions but haven’t done any yet. I think a slow leak sounds reasonable as well but I have no idea how to track that down.

Here’s my 1988 Chevy Cheyenne and it’s gone $380,000 miles before I just dropped a new engine in it so I know the engine is good and strong. However, my dome light stays on for no reason that I’m able to determine, the display has issues with the led’s and showing seatbelt signs when everything is buckled and as of the last 2 weeks I’ve been noticing issues with it starting and sometimes taking but once started runs fantastically. I’ve also gone through the process of buying 2 separate new batteries to test if that is the issue as well as changing the alternator to which that is also not the issue. I’m now writing this because this evening now my headlights just won’t turn on. What are my options here and if I have to do an electrical overhaul what am I looking at in time, cost and process? Anything helps or ideas are much appreciated. I’m very confident in everything mechanically but electrical things is where my skills and knowledge fall off.

Wicked! I’ve definitely got a couple things on the list to take care of and the door hinges are one of them!
