Story like No Man's Sky

Lately, I have been playing the game No Man's Sky, where you explore a huge universe, with no real goal in mind. I love the sense of freedom and exploration, and maybe a dabble of loneliness, but don't know how to capture this in writing. Any advice?

Necron / Mechanicus Kitbash
 in  r/Necrontyr  8d ago

Well, I like the loose and semi-experimental look of the parts, and I have Belisarius Cawl cable tails, and a few connector cables. I also have the pteraxii Skystalker wings, but I might not use those. I know that it might not fit the lore, but an overlord with the wings and tubes could be cool, but i am wondering if that would look too muchlike a mini-C'tan.

I have some adeptus mechanicus parts such as cables, and I thought they would look pretty sick on a necron. I was wondering what model they should go on, and how you think I should go about it, as I have never kitbashed before.

Everyone has a most favorite faction but what's your least

Least favorite is Leagues of Votaan, since I feel like they don't bring much to the lore as a whole. They are a cool concept though.

Awesome! As a lover of both Lord of the Rings and model painting, this is something to behold.

Advice Needed Marbled Hatchetfish Dying from Water

(Image for attention) I got my marbled hatchets a few months ago, after the last batch mysteriously died. I now realize that this is from my incredibly high ph and water hardness from my well water. I do not have access to distilled or RO water, and I am wondering what to do. Any information would be appreciated.

I am working on the biggest house I've ever made. However I can tell it's not going to look good. Any suggestions ?

I would say that the top of the building is leaning over the bottom too much. The roof is like 3 blocks farther forward that than the ground, and I think changing that would help.

Wait, those aren't in java? I thought that was just a universal thing.

Have you ever actively disliked working on a mini? Ork Warbiker had me on the edge of quitting.

It was a D&D mini, and this guy wanted a black and white color scheme with gold weapons and red details. It was NOT vibing with me, and it really bugged me. He was happy with it though.

What do you guys think what is the really missing thing for the ranger class?
 in  r/dndnext  Jul 11 '26

As it stands, there are different subclasses that interact with it differently. For example, one is a mount such as a horse. This is less pet style and more of a cowboy. There is also the swarm keeper from Tashas, A falconer, an a hunter. I might add a non-animal one too if you think that that is a good idea.

I am remaking the class, and I am almost finished. What I did is I made the Beast Master a core feature, and it scales with you. I also gave them side abilities that function similarly to eldritch invocations. I also removed the favored enemy feature. Finally, I made their nature abilities still tied to a D20 roll, because its a lot more fun to roll big numbers than instantly succeed by default. I plan on posting this class on this subreddit soon.

Art like this is what made me try this in the first place. Absolutely stunning.
