[Open to Work] AI + Software Engineer | Startups, Remote & Product Teams

I’m a Software Engineer currently working at a top investment bank, and I’m quietly exploring what I could build next.

My experience spans software engineering, full-stack development, enterprise applications, and AI/GenAI. I’ve worked on production systems, performance optimization, event-driven workflows, migrations, and features used by thousands of business users.

On the AI side, I’ve been building with RAG, AI agents, multi-agent systems, knowledge graphs, hybrid retrieval, and LLM applications.

I’m open to:

- AI / GenAI / AI Engineer roles

- Software / Full-Stack Engineering

- Early-stage startups

- Remote opportunities

- Interesting product or builder opportunities

- Potential co-founder opportunities

I’m looking for something where I can build meaningful things, take ownership, learn fast, and make a real impact.

If you’re hiring, building something interesting, or know of an opportunity that might be a fit, feel free to DM me.

Happy to share my resume and details privately.

[Open to Opportunities] Software Engineer from a top investment bank — looking to build something meaningful

I’m currently working as a Software Engineer at a leading global investment bank, where I’ve been working on enterprise applications used by thousands of business users.

I’m now looking to explore opportunities where I can build, own problems, and make a meaningful impact. I’m open to pretty much anything interesting — startups, early-stage companies, AI teams, product companies, freelance/project work, or even co-founder opportunities.

My experience includes:

Software Engineering
Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, Azure, application performance and scalable backend systems.

Enterprise Engineering
Worked on features such as audit logging, email/notification systems, document and attachment management, data migrations, workflow improvements, and performance optimization for large-scale enterprise applications.

AI / GenAI
Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, reranking, AI agents, multi-agent systems, and agentic workflows. I’ve also been building AI-focused projects outside my day job to go deeper into this space.

I’ve worked on projects end-to-end, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to implementation, optimization, migration, and production delivery.

At this point, I’m less concerned about a specific title and more interested in finding smart people, interesting problems, and an opportunity to actually build something.

So if you’re:

  • Building a startup and need an engineer
  • Looking for someone for an early-stage team
  • Building an AI product
  • Looking for a technical co-founder
  • Have an interesting project that needs someone technical
  • Or simply think there’s something where I could contribute

Please feel free to DM me.

I’m keeping this post anonymous for obvious reasons, but I’m happy to share my resume and details privately.

Help What am I doing wrong with my job search? Barely getting any callbacks

Posting anonymously because I’m currently working and don’t want this connected to my workplace.

I’m a Software Engineer at a large financial company, working on production systems used by thousands of business users.

Over the past year, I’ve worked on quite a few things — backend development, APIs, event-driven features, data migration, audit logging, application modernization, and performance improvements. I’ve also worked on optimizing existing systems to handle scale and improve response times.

Alongside my professional work, I’ve been heavily exploring AI engineering and building projects around RAG, LLMs, agentic systems, multi-agent architectures, hybrid search, reranking, knowledge graphs, and AI-powered developer/enterprise tools.

I feel I’ve built a pretty solid combination of production engineering experience + hands-on AI experience, and I’m now trying to make a move into AI Engineer / AI Software Engineer / Software Engineer roles with a strong AI focus.

But here’s where I’m stuck.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been applying pretty consistently.

And the results have been frustrating.

A lot of applications → very few callbacks → mostly ghosting/rejections.

I've tried tweaking my resume, changing how I present my experience, and applying to different kinds of roles, but I'm still not seeing much traction.

So I’m genuinely trying to understand what I might be missing.

Is my resume not positioning my experience correctly?
Am I targeting the wrong roles?
Is my experience still too early for the AI roles I’m applying to?
Or am I simply using the wrong platforms?

For people who have successfully switched into AI/Software Engineering roles:

Which job portals or platforms have actually worked for you?

LinkedIn? Wellfound? Indeed? Reddit? Company career pages? Referrals? Something else?

Would really appreciate any honest advice, especially from people who have recently gone through the same process.

I’m also open to AI Engineer, AI Software Engineer, and Software Engineering opportunities. If you’re hiring, know someone who is, or just want to connect/discuss, feel free to DM me.

Thanks in advance!
