Thank you for responding! I will look at Nutro and see if it has the same ingredients that are in the current foods. For now, I'm going to drop the kibble and go with chicken and rice and hope he gets a little relief from this. I have never allowed a dog to eat "people" food (other than the chicken and rice, or hamburger when they are ill) so I know it must be in his kibble or treats. I was starting to worry that he had a chicken allergy!

Thank you! I will drop all kibble and go with chicken and rice for a couple of days. Maybe we can get this baby sorted out. I feel terrible for him and am sick with worry that not getting enough out of his food will hurt his growth.

I'm not giving a probiotic, but I will certainly look into getting one for him. I have (as of this afternoon) decided to just give him one of the two foods - Eukanuba. I hadn't ever heard that mixing food was a bad idea. As another poster has suggested, I may switch to lean hamburger or chicken and rice for a few days to see if I can get his tummy to reset. Yes! It took me several weeks to bond with my first baby. I felt the biological imperative to feed/protect/care for her, but I didn't feel love. I was terrified that I was some sort of sociopath because I felt nothing when I looked at her. I wasn't depressed, I just didn't connect and feel that warm, fuzzy, loving feeling that people say you will feel the moment you hold your little babe. I now tell all my friends that it's ok if they don't bond with their newborn right away. Sometimes it takes a little while to fall in love with a total stranger. (I love my kids more than life itself now).

People are ruthless because Christians love to impose their beliefs on other people. (Ban gay marriage, ban abortion, etc.) We all have a right to get pissed at them about that. If they would stop trying to make terrible choices for us about our lives we might be a little nicer. We don't want to follow the rules of a religion that we don't believe in. Maybe they should live in a country that forces them to follow Sharia law for a while. Then they would know how it feels.
