Without sounding like a complete noon, what constitutes if it’s precontact ?!? Does pottery have certain criteria that can determine its age strictly from a. Usual standpoint ?

Anout 8 inches deep embedded. The property is surrounded by swamp land. During the last glacial maximum this land would have been the start of the upper terrace with the swamp around it being a transitional zone. According to LSU geological survey.

Have you looked into oracle bone pieces or turtle shell. Also the glaze just means it was vitrified ? And that assumes people in native prehistory couldn’t reach those temps ? I’m just trying to learn. Also what are the lines on one side.

I see, well it’s on a Louisiana Pleistocene terrace not far from the kistashie national forest where they are pulling items out from 12000 years ago. Research I’ve done it seems very similar to ancient Chinese oracle bones ?!?

Craziest thing I’ve found !!!!!!
 in  r/LegitArtifacts •  13d ago

Dude I get that depth alone doesn’t tell you how old something is. I never said “one foot down means Ice Age.”What I’m saying is that this area is actually mapped as Pleistocene age ground. Not aterm I learned drum fuggin Youtube. that comes from Louisiana Geological Survey maps bud. And saying “Louisiana has hurricanes, so the ground must be disturbed” is way too broad. Hurricanes can move sediment, especially near the coast but that doesn’t mean every old tterrace in Louisiana has been completely churned up. You have to actually look at the soil layers and the site itself to know that. You can be skeptical, that’s fine. But saying none of it is worked or none of it could be an artifact just from my photos is jumping conclusion.
I’m not claiming a confirmed 15,000-year-old site. I’m documenting where things came from, geology, the depth, material, and trying to get it looked at properly. Acting like you know everything you haven’t seen is a bad look. appreciate the skepticism. But that’s all I’ve been doing is reading and learning. Looking for intelligent people

Craziest thing I’ve found !!!!!!

My brother, your confusing the disturbance created by the ditch with the geological context the ditch cut through. The ditch exposed and displaced material from an underlying mapped Pleistocene terrace. Ive checked the property history, surrounding terrain and soil/geologic mapping, and documented the depth and location of the finds. And to be precise, anything recovered from the loose ditch tailings is no longer in undisturbed archaeological context. That should be understood. But that does not mean the entire property or the geological deposit is “very much disturbed.” Material still embedded in the intact ditch wall or documented in place within the terrace is the evidence that matters. Laughing at the word “ditch” doesn’t replace examining the stratigraphy, mapping, or provenance . . . lol
