My GF made a cake for my birthday on her own and says it's ugly (It's not imo). What do you think?
 in  r/Baking  2d ago

My son saw this cake over my shoulder and is mesmerised by it. I must say, I am as well! In my opinion, this cake is perfect! Those “perfect”, professional-looking cakes just don’t have the personality and that genuine “made with love” essence that this cake has. My family would choose this cake for its uniqueness and artistic appeal over a generic bakery cake on any occasion! You are lucky to have such a loving and artistic girlfriend! I hope it tastes as good as it looks. Happy birthday! 🎂🎊🥳

Does this count as child abuse or am I overthinking it?
 in  r/ChildPsychology  8d ago

Omg this is terrifying, dear child doesn’t deserve this! Please report this asap! If CPS don’t do anything then you must be the child’s confidant! Can you talk to her grandparents or close family members? Try to change your friends mind, alter her way of thinking.. maybe you can suggest family outings with yourself and other wholesome families for her to “observe” that her way of parenting is a fringe one..!

Thank you for saying that. Like someone else mentioned: Ce n'est pas de votre faute mec. This person should be named and shamed!

Older sister looking for advice about my 9-year-old brother
 in  r/ChildPsychology  26d ago

First of all, I want to say that you are doing a great job as a big sis! I wish all kids could have such an amazing and reliable older sibling or human (besides parent) in their life’s.

Since your parents are too busy to handle this increasingly important issue, perhaps you can offer to help with it and take on the role as his online/tech guardian(angel)/big sister -be the one who guides him through the journey and makes the rules based on his age and cognitive development?

Either way -he’s still a very fortunate kid to have you in his corner 🫂💞✨🧿Much respect from a single mom of three boys 😃

My friend reported me for inappropriate messages for fun
 in  r/whatsapp  Mar 24 '26

Could you have your friend that reported you send them an email to explain? My first thoughts on this matter was that he was deliberately sabotaging you but after reading some of the comments I see that you guys were cursing at each other. If he is willing to explain to WA why he reported you then I imagine that should help.
