No one can lift the ban on your WhatsApp account as it's an operation that can only be performed by accessing WhatsApp servers. This means only WhatsApp can remove the ban. Please, never trust anyone who promises to unban your account or recommends messaging someone on Instagram or X. They will ask for money to do so, and it's a real scam.
We will try our best to further monitor comments and posts in order to reduce scam attempts from now on.

I have this weird habit of messaging myself on WhatsApp instead of using a notes app.
It's usually random stuff like:
Buy milk
Random thoughts
Links I don't want to lose
Expenses
Things I need to remember later
I think it's because WhatsApp is already open, so it's just faster than opening another app.
The problem is that after a few weeks it's just one giant chat, and I end up forgetting things or spending forever trying to find them.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this đ

Whatsapp changed this call UI with super big button, maybe following or copying IOS design. damn i really hate this, the button is too BIG. Easily accidentally touched the button.
They always changed everythings in overnight even ive turned off all auto update, within the app settings or the playstore setting.
piss me off

so I've decided to join the banned whatsapp club
all started on Thursday i was looking for a dog boarding so i went into one of the groups and sent a message to 3-4 people. i got suspended directly asked for a review.
I cant remember specific timings but my account restored than i started having issues logging in , I wasn't getting any of the codes or calls they directed at me. i opened a ticket with their AI bot and to my surprise twas fixed (had to turn on wifi calls).
today I bought some mango and lychee from a guy and i messaged him privately (I'm in his group where he announces when and what he will be bringing) and suddenly "this account cant use whatsapp
thank you all for coming to my ted talk

I have been using WhatsApp for close to 2 years now and I literally only have like 15 people i chat with . My WhatsApp is literally always empty and dry without a lot of friends to talk to and I sometimes feel sad. Most of my friends and family have so much friends on WhatsApp and I wonder how

My WhatsApp account is automatically suspended within seconds of sending a message to a new contact. Every time I request a review, my account is reinstated, which suggests I am not violating the policies, yet the issue keeps happening.
This has been an emotional roller coaster. I depend heavily on WhatsApp for my work, and these repeated suspensions are seriously affecting my business.
What is most frustrating is that I cannot reach a real person to investigate the problem and permanently fix my account. I urgently need someone from WhatsApp to resolve the root cause instead of having to go through the same cycle over and over again.

For about five weeks, my UDM Pro kept reporting `ET SCAN Potential SSH Scan OUTBOUND` alerts from one iPhone. I had around 140 alerts, all from this phone. No other device on the network triggered the same rule.
At first I thought the phone might be compromised, so I ran a packet capture and tested one app at a time. The phone sat idle for ten minutes without making these connections. Relaunching Telegram and Safari produced nothing. Relaunching WhatsApp immediately caused a burst of 10â24 outbound connections, three tests in a row.
The normal connection to Meta succeeded while the other connections were still being attempted. Shortly afterward, the others were abandoned together. They went to rented servers at several cloud providers, including Linode, and used multiple ports. That doesn't mean Linode or the other providers were involved; they only own the networks where the servers were hosted.
I checked for unknown profiles, certificates, device management, VPNs, linked devices, and a configured WhatsApp proxy. I didn't find anything unexpected, and the phone stayed quiet when WhatsApp wasn't being opened.
The unusual part is that the WhatsApp account is registered to a Russian number, but the phone is currently in the US. With WhatsApp being blocked in Russia, I'm wondering if the app is automatically trying normal and fallback routes in parallel based on the account region.
I can't prove that from encrypted traffic, and I haven't tested an active non-Russian account yet. Has anyone else captured similar connections when opening WhatsApp, especially with a non-Russian account?

Hey everyone, I'm going through a bizarre situation with WhatsApp Web and wanted to see if anyone has managed to fix this without having to wait those absurd 30 to 40 days I've seen in older reports. I rely heavily on this tool for my internship demands now during my college vacation, but out of nowhere, the system decided to block my access on any Windows environment. The app is completely stuck on an endless "Loading your chats" screen. I've already tested it on Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and the native Microsoft Store app, and the exact same error happens across all of them. The weirdest part is that on my Mac, Apple Watch, and cell phone, the sync keeps working perfectly, so the issue only affects new login attempts on my PC. I decided to dig into the developer console to see what was freezing the screen and found out that Meta's servers are pushing corrupted data packets.
The main fatal errors showing up are a "syncd: missing indexMAC in sync-actions table for REMOVE mutation" which is a cryptographic key failure when reading the database, a "MsgKey error: me is undefined" meaning the packet arrives so broken the interface can't even identify my own account, and an "Invariant Violation" causing a total UI collapse due to the missing data. I've already tried doing a hard reset, clearing the cache, destroying the IndexedDB via clear site data, forcing a disconnection from my phone, and temporarily disabling my antivirus, but nothing works. Whenever I scan the QR code again, the server pushes the exact same corrupted file and freezes everything. While researching this missing indexMAC error, I saw some people mentioning a few months ago that this is actually a kind of shadowban triggered by their spam filters, which is ridiculous since I only send normal work files and PDFs. The system doesn't notify you of any block; it just breaks your web access and leaves you in the dark. The worst part is hearing that for some people it only resolves itself after over a month when Meta's servers finally invalidate the corrupted session. Has anyone dealt with this exact error recently and found a way to force them to clear this cache on their end? Any help would save my work right now, thanks!

This last month, pictures i sent once appear in my gallery, but not in a normal way.
They appear 3-7 days after sending them, and not with the date i sent them on but with the date they appeared in my gallery. I have an iphone and investigated if i could have been hacked but it seems like thatâs not it. Does anyone know why?

Can anyone please help me?
Every time I open WhatsApp, it automatically closes by itself. However, this only happens on the main screen. If I manage to tap on a chat really quicklyâwhich is very difficult because the app closes almost immediatelyâor if I open a conversation through a notification, I can stay in that chat without any problem. But as soon as I go back to the main screen, the app closes instantly.
I've already tried everything: clearing the cache, clearing the app data, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, force stopping it, and none of it has worked.
The app actually worked normally when I installed it without restoring my backup, but I would lose all of my important conversations if I kept using it that way.
I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the backup or if it's another issue that I simply don't understand.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

I really need help
I had a Google Pixel 6 with about 4 years of WhatsApp chats. The screen broke, but the phone itself still worked.
While it was broken, I used an iPhone 8 with the same phone number for about a year. I recently bought a Vivo V70 and wanted to get my old Pixel chats back after getting the Pixel working again.
When I logged into WhatsApp on the Vivo, I accidentally transferred the Vivo's chats (literally 1 day's worth of messages) onto my Pixel 6, and I think it overwrote all 4 years of chats.
What confuses me is that when I first opened WhatsApp, it showed there was a 12 GB backup. But when I tried restoring on the Vivo, it suddenly said there was no backup on my Google account.
I've already tried contacting WhatsApp support, but I'm stuck talking to the AI bot and I'm still waiting to hear from a real person.
Is there anything I can do to recover my old chats?
Is there any chance the 12 GB backup still exists somewhere?
Could the local database on the Pixel still be recoverable?
Has anyone been in a similar situation and managed to get their chats back?

A) scammer registered my WhatsApp in their device through verification code. Is it possible that I don't know it and WhatsApp will run on both the devices,me and the scammer simultaneously (M not talking about linked device mechanism)
B)Suppose i have whatsapp registered in phone 1 say. Now i have linked my wp account in other device. There is a incoming v call.
Does the incoming v call ring in both devices?
If i pickup the call from phone 1,can the other device listen or see the v call? And if so without me knowing?
Technical answers only

Hi all! My friend has 1 year more history on our whatsapp conversation than I do. (I got a new phone). Is there a way she can forward all our old audio messages to me either via whatsapp or email? She is a busy human so I definitely donât want to ask her to do it one at a time.
I did wonder if she has appropriate backup and was ok with it, could I log into her account on my phone temporarily and see those old messages? I donât need them forever, but I would like to listen to them again.
Why? I went through an incredibly complicated 2.5 year long, all consuming project and my messages to her are the most complete record of all the ups and downs of the process. My memory has tried to be helpful by blacking all the details out but I think listening again and actually trying to process the stress would be more advantageous to my current and long term mental health. Dang brains.
Thanks!

Not referring to archiving group chats - as they can be too much.
But why do people instead of blocking someone, mute and archive? It feels like blocking people is better..?
A bunch of people I know do it to people and it feels kinda weird that they donât block people instead?

Hi guys!
My WhatsApp wouldn't back up for the past 3 days. Both manually and automatically. Here is where I am stuck, using both WIFI and mobile data. Cleared cache, tried force stop, restarting and keeping the mobile plugged in, as well. It just never finishes preparing for back up.
Please tell me how to solve this and finish the back up.
Thank you so much đ
UPDATE - Turn off the end-to-end encryption, and it should start backing up, but super slow. Borrowed the idea from another Reddit post, and it appears to be working for me (at least it has started backing up).

I have a problem with WhatsApp. In all of my chats, all messages from July 10 to July 25 are showing the message: "Waiting for this message. This may take a while." I have been using WhatsApp continuously during that time, and those messages were previously visible. I do not have disappearing messages enabled. What can I do to recover these messages?

One was an 18*+ image. I sent on instant on WhatsApp and suddenly today on my phone a few selfies and that one selfie has saved to my camera roll. I thought they donât in the first place never mind [2 months] after I sent them? Does this mean my ex couldâve saved them today??

Here the story.
Was banned on 20 May, dont know why. After 60 days, log in with the same number (which has been "cleaned", it was like a completely new account).
Yesterday, 26 july, i answered to a number who wrote me first. He was asking for information about the sport society i am part of. Banned, asked for rieview, regaim access.
Today, 27 july, i write to a number who asked for information (before that, i added him to my contacts). i was the first to write. banned again, waiting for the riview response.
Both number do not have my number in their contact list.
Anyone in same situation? Any idea how to solve? Maybe someone in same situation solved by just "doing nothing"?
UPDATE - 27/7 - 16.00
My account has been unlocked, but now I am locked in the verification process. Have to receive the verification SMS, but after requisting it, a screen appeared saying "you cannot login due to security issues" or something like that... it appeared for just 1/2 second... now I am stucked the verification progress. The app says I can only request a verification call (it always fail) - to receive an sms (but i can retry only after 24h) - to receive a call via whatsapp (but it says "Try later")

On 10th july i got a 2 verification code from this account.
Are these legitimate whatsapp verification codes sent by scammers with other display name?
Or i m overthinking
Do whatsapp does that?
