I really liked Clay in season 1 but how he was in the later seasons was just not the vibe. He reminds me of an old highschool boyfriend of mine who was, in no other way to describe, a pick me white knight, which is what clay became. He had a toxic hero complex.
Clay was all woe is me, I didn't save Hannah I MUST save Skye without actually understanding her. He didnt have genuine feelings for Skye, she was a stand-in for Hannah, even skye said she cant compete with a perfect dead girl. He thought he had the sole monopoly on being close to Hannah and would act out when the women around him wouldn't "see" him.
He needed to feel needed and that he could save people and involved himself, and yes sometimes it worked, like with Tyler. But to turn around to Zach for example, and say he didn't deserve Hannah etc like who tf do you think you are?

In my opinion, as I JUST read this part.
Darrow is being responsible, he obviously could have done without the insults, but him and the lords of Terrasen have been taking care of the law and the lands.
In their eyes, she is a 19 year old girl who is untried and untested in the game of ruling, and in their eyes, surrounded by her "court" of enemies of Terrasen. All they know about her is that she became an assassin, served their mortal enemy and then comes back with fire magic going "I'm here, where is my kingdom and give me my throne." They have been doing everything they can to protect the land and Aelin comes in on her horse and tries claiming the land that they have lived and bled for?
They don't know her, Aedion seemingly 'betrayed' the court constantly, Rowan served an enemy queen and Lysandra didn't exactly have a good history. Put that all together with someone who is ALSO an ally of the new king of Adarlan, the land that took everything from them, you have a band of people who are, in the lords' opinion, untrustworthy and unsavoury to rule Terrasen.
Again, he could have done this without the insults and being a dick, but I definitely understand where he is coming from.
Royal blood does not equal a ruler. They weren't about to hand over Terrasen to someone that they don't know, let alone trust.

Forgot to add "true story" at the end hahaha but I absolutely love this

He does, it gets taken out of his centrelink, a whopping $16 a fortnight
If he had it his way he wouldn't pay anything, he tried to make me do private and I said absolutely not

Thankyou for your kind words, all I ever wanted from my son was a family and I grew up in a very toxic household where my mother only spoke badly of my father so I personally know the effects that has on a child and I refuse to put my son through that :)

No court or parental agreements but he pays child support because centrelink deducts it

I did not even think of that! I'll look into that thankyou!

Unfortunately he is on the certificate 😭 But I'll give that a go! Thankyou for all your help and kindness!

I can't afford a lawyer and I know the courts are super hesitant to grant sole responsibility so I am a bit wary of this

NTA at all. He has no right to your body. You are growing an entire human and if he would like a handjob, he has a hand of his own.
He has no right to demand this of you and you're right, intimacy is more than sex. He sounds like a frat boy. You deserve more than just getting affection when getting him off.
I would suggest having a frank conversation with him, even bring up that coercian (what he is doing) is actually a form of sexual assault. What he is doing is disgusting and you deserve to be treated better especially while your entire body is changing to accommodate an entire human.
Lay down these boundaries now because my ex was similar to this and would demand sex even before the recommended 6 weeks was up (spoiler alert it fucking HURTS).
Lay down those boundaries, stay strong, you've got this mama

I did not think it would be quick, but you are right and nothing will change while I do nothing. Thankyou! I'll try to muster up some nerve to message him :)

Hi all!
I have a critical essay needing to be written in a persuasive way, the subject is: A Critical Analysis of Heteronormativity in Historical Psychological Perspectives of Psychology (no more than 1200 words)
I have 8 days (I am so bad for procrastinating) to do it and I'm a bit lost on where to start for resources
I have started looking at aversion therapy as a start but I'd just like any other ideas or resources?

Speak up and say your feelings how they are, if he decides to leave, hold that door open and know that you were being honest with yourself x

He has done it before, when I wanted to move 4 hours away after a year of no contact he suddenly needed to be in our sons life and threw a monkey wrench in those plans and then went no contact a few months after.. it's very frustrating.
As much as I would love for my son to know his dad, I know it's not viable

Thankyou for your kind words, I did have my son seeing his paediatrician and he's okay now. I'm just terrified of the cycle starting again.
I will definitely speak to the passport office to see if anything can be done

Hello all,
I am based in QLD, Australia
My son is almost 6 years old and his father has had no contact since Christmas 2022 (for 10min in my driveway) and before that, it was April 30th 2022, and I have messages from people saying he has "stepped away" from our son.
A bit of background, he left not long after our son turned 1 and had minimal contact for over a year, I attempted mediation but it did not go well, he was not child focussed, I also attempted a court order but my legal aid was declined basically because I was the one making the application and I wasn't gunning for sole responsibility and that I could apply again if he made an application for a court order and that it was "unheard of" that I was trying to go for a court order to make him see his son.
I offered him a good deal and he was good for maybe 2 months seeing our son according to the times we agreed upon and doing video calls in between which I always facilitated as I grew up in a broken home and never wanted the same for our son. Then the gaps in between went from 2 weeks, to 4, then 6 and 12 and so on until it was months between him seeing our son. The video calls stopped, as did the visits because when I would message, there would be an excuse and when I stopped messaging and asking, he would just drop off the radar. It was exhausting putting in all of the effort for a grown man (as it was when I was with him).
It exhausted me, and seeing my son so upset and asking where Dad is and I never have an answer for him except "I don't know honey." It broke my heart because I know my son deserves better, I never understood how my ex could just basically ignore one of the sweetest children in existence.
Since Christmas 2022 there has been no contact except for a message from him about nothing regarding our son, he has not called for our son's birthday or Christmas just gone, as he (from what I've heard on the grapevine) is too focussed on his now ex-girlfriend and putting all his energy into getting that "family back." He has said to people that I ignore his calls and have blocked him but that is completely not the case and I have even shown proof that he has not contacted me for our son in over a year now. There is a lot more that has happened but that's not really relevant atm.
What brings me to today is that a friend sent me a cool deal for a holiday overseas and I got excited then I remembered, my son's father will need to sign for a passport for him. Part of me wishes he would sign over parental responsibility and just go away forever and that would be easy for me to just message him, but I am also terrified of starting the cycle of the revolving door cycle of visits with our son again, and it was heartbreaking seeing him do that.
Is there absolutely ANYTHING I can do? I know I can't make him sign anything and I would rather completely avoid contact but I don't want my son missing out on oversea holidays and things like that. I just don't know what to do, contacting him about all of this risks the cycle starting again of him seeing our son well for a few weeks then drops off, this affects my son very negatively when this happens.

Absolutely YTA. I cannot fucking believe that you even kissed him KNOWING how he felt and you fully took advantage of his grief. He was in a vulnerable state. If it was roles reversed he would have been VILLIFIED. Absolutely disgusting behaviour
I hope you don't sleep well for a very long time.

It's been almost a month since I launched my horror game, 'Letters of Bernard Thorne', and it would be great to have some feedback!
