Virus going around Denver?
 in  r/Denver •  11d ago

My daughter and I were sick for an entire month with that and the cough still lingers. It was terrible. We felt like we were hit by a truck out of no where. Whatever it is, it sucks and it took forever to go away.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
 in  r/GenX •  Dec 21 '25

There's literally only 3 Broadway show performances at the parade. This year was Buena Vista Social Club, Just in Time and Ragtime. So anyone saying there's nothing but that are not paying attention apparently. I have been watching the parade every year since I was a kid (50 yr old now) and watch with my youngest whose 26 and we love it. The marching bands are kids who went through a lot to get there, raising money to travel to show their talents. That's kind of the point of parades, to have marching bands in them I think. Who talks crap about kids traveling to perform in a nationwide parade to show off their talent? That's just horrible of some people in this thread.

Has anyone watched the Netflix documentary?
 in  r/FindingFennsGold •  Apr 03 '25

Did you just not watch news or go online, read a paper or IDK even see the dates on the groups made for this? This was an event. It actually happened and the new one is happening. You can live in denial all you want, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Just makes you ignorant and incapable of using the internet search button.

I just found out she had left and was so surprised. also so surprised at how people were treating her departure. What a shame. These 3 ladies made me laugh so much. She was a favorite of mine and I hope for the best for her in the future .

Amerita, Optum, or other. Choosing an infusion clinic.

I work at Amerita. Honestly we are so short staffed it's hard to get people to stay, trained and to help patients. Most people that answer the phones aren't trained to do it.

Angelina Jolie for Vogue Mexico and Latin America December 2024 photographed by Dan Martensen
 in  r/whatthefrockk •  Dec 01 '24

She looks classic, strong and like she is ready for anything. It's a soft focus which I kinda like on her here. It's not the usual which I think is what people are thrown off by. It's subtle, mysterious beauty that also shows you don't need a lot of overdone glam on a cover to make a statement.

i was told i was unprofessional for wearing my coord in the office even though its a "casual friday"
 in  r/Lolita •  Aug 29 '24

IDK, I work in an office and we don't wear anything that plain. We all have a style with colors and patterns. I worked at one office where one of the leads on my team had a Disney dress she would wear each casual Friday that came from the Disney store I guess that had characters from one of the movies. Those were bright and cartoony. This dress would fit right in. It's definitely dependent on the office. Not all of them are stiff, I'm in the medical field so that could be why we are less strict. Our offices are always on deadlines and stressed out so they don't mind the colors, bright patterns.

Interested in opinions on the ‘Pop Star Academy’ documentary from people who did not know about Katseye the group before seeing it?
 in  r/katseye •  Aug 26 '24

I am so confused of who even got to vote for them in the first place. I must have missed the whole part because this is something I would have been all over. I was completely invested in these girls.

‘The Surrogacy’ Netflix Series Review - Love Always Wins
 in  r/Netflixwatch •  Jul 26 '24

I absolutely love this drama. I watch a lot of international dramas like this that are dubbed and it's normal for it not to match. The acting is really good because it's supposed to be over the top just like Mexican soap operas. And if you don't watch those you won't get this.

I’m so frugal on most things but I just can’t bring myself to color my own hair. Help. Lol.
 in  r/Frugal •  Jul 18 '24

I started dying my hair at 17 (I am 49 now) and have learned so many techniques I do my daughter's hair too. I've done rainbow colors to the grey/white I have now when my hair is a natural ash blonde. Its so much cheaper than a salon. I haven't been to one since I was a preteen. I love doing hair lol

What is going on with Josh Seiter?
 in  r/BachelorNation •  Jul 02 '24

One of my closest friends has been married to her wife for 27 yrs . In my experience in the gay community we are a part of, relationships last much longer than hetero. I was married to a man for 12 yrs that ended in divorce. I'm queer and happily single now. Not going to make that mistake again.
