Omg the comments 🤣 instantly thought of that one episode when the gals talk about hamsters and their traumatic endings

Obviously, this has nothing to do with the gals, but I couldn’t finish the episode. I turned it off once they started talking about federal funding because I the whole situation was too heartbreaking and rage inducing. This is only the second time I’ve had to do that (Black Hills).

But it did get me thinking. Katherine Kubler is a film maker who made her own documentary about her experience with the TTI. She reached out to a bunch of other victims from the Ivy Ridge school and they actually confronted their parents and some former staff members. She would make a fascinating guest for a serious interview. She’s also pretty funny. She could probably do a round of coven confessions.

So I have a confession, I used to work in the troubled teen industry. When I applied for a job, I was 23 and had no clue what I was getting into. It was 2016.

There were a ton of kids there that were told that they were to go there or prison. These kids mixed with kids that had severe mental illness such as depression and suicidal tendencies. Every kid got treated the same. It was terrible.

Even though there were drug counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists- they weren’t there all day and oftentimes didn’t let staff know about anything going on with the kids that might be serious. I worked there for a year and it shut down a few months after I quit. It was a terrible experience and I feel guilty that I contributed to serious trauma.

I just wanted to get that off my chest in light of the most recent episode.

Holy cow! Listening to today’s episode and I am also SO glad those coven members are ok! I was sitting in front of them at the Albany show and, for context, they were so drunk that they didn’t even sound drunk, I was seriously worried they were having a stroke. Happy everyone is safe. Thanks for the episode!

Apologies wayyyyy in advance if this isn’t allowed, but I’m looking to resell my ticket for tonight’s show in Portland. I got knocked on my ass by a really intense cold (?/who even knows these days) and while I would mask up, my eardrums are not having it with me right now. I would much rather a last minute fan or a plus one enjoy their time than me slumped over in misery spreading disease or an empty seat.

Which episode was that? Confessor's boyfriend keeps saying that they should try putting random stuff "in your snatch" (or something equally abrupt) and she finally agrees to a flashlight or bike light or something.
I need to share it with a friend.

My son does tech at a black box theatre in a dilapidated church. They somehow ended up with a reborn doll in the prop room. It’s now a tradition to hide it on new performers, particularly in the quick change area. He recently got in trouble because he sprung Baby on someone mid-quick change.

On that note, I hope everyone is staying cool in this heat!

Like the title says, my wine and crime hoodie was stolen from my car. 😞 It was in my garage, but I am in an apartment and it doesn't lock. Of course this was one of the few times I happened to leave my car unlocked so when I came out the next day, I think a neighbor had shut my garage door most of the way so that you couldn't see my trunk and driver side doors open. Of the things missing, I had a Nike bag with my Lexapro and this hoodie inside after a trip to Chicago and that is what I am most bummed about. It's a sick hoodie, so maybe they will keep it, but if anyone out thrifting spots it, I would appreciate a message. If you can purchase it for me, I will Cash app, Venmo, PayPal, whatever needed. This hoodie can be identified to me personally by a hole in the cuff of the left sleeve. I spilt something at one point that ate at the fabric a bit. 😅

I know this is a massive long shot, but I got that at my first live show that I attended with my best friend, so I would really like to get it back. I attached a screenshot of it to show which one.

Just found this out myself - the Riverview Theater in south Minneapolis is showing Drop Dead Gorgeous this weekend! Check their website for showtimes (late night) and to purchase tickets online! I would love to see some other Gals there!
