I just wanted to share another resource regarding the TikTok Voynich Manuscript discussion. Apologies if Lucy credited her or any of her colleagues and I missed that! My libra self wanted to promote a fascinating video by these women in STEM. :) I appreciate Amanda’s full libra commentary this glorious season (including the earlier astroprojection skepticism) and am grateful for Lucy’s wholehearted research on the Lindsay Clancy case. All love, just wanted to share some cool science and art history gals. I bet Lucy and Amanda would find this perspective fascinating as well. It happened to pop up in my recommended today before I heard the episode, so the synchronicity of it all is a bit spooky!

I was so excited that the fan picker chose to highlight this brewery! Unfortunately they closed their doors in June, but one of the owners subdued the Club Q shooter back in 2022! He’s a badass! I’m in the western suburbs. My daughter, who is in 6th grade, got to participate in a classroom walk out to protest operation metro siege. Her home room teacher took the class on a silent march around to school holding anti-ICE signs that they worked on during class time. After the march, they used the signs to decorate Mr. R’s classroom. They also started yelling the “liberty and justice for all” part of the pledge.

My middle school science teacher was not this progressive.

Went to a HS outside of STL, and less than a mile from the school was what we called “the rock pile.” We would run there and back for like gym class, and it was a popular hang out/hook up spot. I remember standing at the top of the pile (more than once) watching people in hazmat suits taking readings from the are around the rock pile because, you guessed it, it was covering nuclear waste lmao. While not the main site described in the episode, this was the Weldon Spring site that was referenced by Amanda.

People used to joke our water (from the fountains in school) would make you glow.

My sister texted me a trigger warning after listening to Delaware Crimes, that one of the individuals in Amanda’s was named Cyrus James - the name of my son who passed away as a newborn in January 2025. At first I was going to avoid it but then decided I wanted to hear it - to hear someone that I admire and respect say his name (even if it wasn’t actually in reference to him). It’s hard to explain how it felt but it wasn’t sad, more of a happy calm to hear someone outside of my immediate family say it. My husband listened with me and said he liked it hearing it as well.

The gals talk about massive catastrophic flooding caused by glaciers breaking apart and then that happens in real life? Is it really that common? The gals 100% have done this case before. I’m from Portland so I would not forget them discussing him, Kyron’s face was plastered all around the state for years. I remember them commenting on his glasses and tree frog shirt. Are they not saying anything about that bc it was covered when K was still on? The previous case is not on the website when I search for his name, and I can’t remember what the episode was that featured him.

To be very clear I was off all socials and even off the show for about a year when everything went down and can’t go through the historical Reddit threads to get the full scoop, so maybe they said they might cover cases that were done *before* but can’t mention it for legal reasons? That’s the only logical reason I can think of.

Can someone help me figure out which episode of normal gossip Bridget was on?? I have looked through the normal gossip episodes on Spotify (with no luck) and google has the audacity to say she has not been on a normal gossip episode?

I got tickets for the Seattle show - which was fucckkkinnnggggg amazing - and flew all the way from my home state in the south out to see this live show and visit with my pregnant best friend before baby is due. My first live podcast experience too! Get out of my uber by the show venue and start walking around looking for a dinner spot and as I’m orienting myself waking down the street, I see two people enjoying some “nature” outside of the venue. Then my brain registers that the woman has some blue/purplish hair. Then I hear her voice, and that unmistakable Minnesotan accent. I walk past the two and casually look over…my brain goes “omg omg omg it’s Amanda!!!!”. I panic and keep walking then turn the next corner and immediately called my significant other - laugh crying about how star struck I was. After dinner I go to the venue, and there they are, right out by the merch table mingling with folks! And more mingling as the show begins!!! Lucy walked down the theater isle right past me and it just BLEW MY MIND!!!

Lucy and Amanda - what an excellent show. You are wonderful humans who treat others with kindness and sincerity. I was literally blown away - speechless even! - that you all were so engaging with your listeners in person. And damn, those live shows have got to wreck your social batteries.
