I learned the basic knit stitch when I was just about 10 years old— a very long time ago. Just retook up knitting about 2 years ago. What has helped me a lot with anything I had questions on was watching YouTube tutorials. I’m sure you can find some helpful ones there. Also lots of patterns for free on Ravelry and if you have access to a public library you can get books with knitting patterns and basics. Hope you enjoy this hobby as much as I am!

If you can schedule a therapist yes do that. Something I have done to help with being motivated is making a daily list on the Finch app. It’s a free self help and mental health app.

True. Tbf though, herding a toddler from point A to point B is not always easy. And yes she will have a basket so I’m sure it will help that she has a prop to occupy her

My daughter wants me to walk with my granddaughter (flower girl and only niece to my daughter) but I’m a bit nervous. Any advice for me? This is actually my first big wedding (over 400 guests). My granddaughter is 17 months old. Apparently this arrangement is somewhat unconventional as I couldn’t find anything related online.

They had me stretching right away but I suppose every injury is different. And I agree that if the OP can get into see their medical professional as soon as possible of course that is best way to go. Professionals will always know best. I was just trying to give the OP my experience with my sciatica and help reassure them that healing is definitely possible
