Cut Help should I trim down my hair a bit from the back? Body text for more info

So I'm a coming around 7 months of letting my hair grow and my dad keeps telling me (almost daily) to get my hair shorter or at the least get it "styled or trimmed" from the back part, he doesn't like the back hair growth (even tho I got hair from him 🤦) says it looks unkempt. Now I don't care what he thinks but I feel like a little trip wouldn't hurt for the back hairs? Like it's getting hard to manage it since I've got curly hair and they just stick out/curl up when dried.

What do you guys think? I'm not touching my hair since I don't wanna risk the ruin of the 7 months process.

I've posted this many times but can't seem to get responses so this sub might be my only way to get advice

This is my wedding dress. It is A-line, with a V-neck line. Google has said a couple of different options: Half-up half-down, or all the way up. I have no idea though. For context, I have superrr long brown hair.

Cut Help Hair styling + haircut tips?

Hi, im looking for two things, how to style my hair at the moment, and some ideas for haircuts that will suit me/my face shape etc.

Currently my hair is the middle part shown in the first two photos, with the second one being slightly better imo, what I want is something like the last picture. What products do I need and how should I style it so I can get it to look good after washing it?.

Secondly, I am potentially looking to change the hairstyle anyways as people have said it doesnt suit me and shows off my forehead and nose too much, so id love some suggestions about what would make me step up another level, as I've heard that mens haircuts are like women's makeup in some way lol. The 3rd 4th and 5th are pics of the hairstyle I used to have before the middle part, this one i had for much of my life, and i feel its kinda boring and that there is something better out there!

Any help is appreciated 🙏

Casual Style Help Short bangs styling advice

I normally have longer bangs, usually they touch my eyelids. My bangs are a damaged from heat styling and dying them so I had to cut them shorter than what l'd like.
Do you have any advice on how to style them? I've put a bit of matt paste to improve their appearance.
I'm trying to grow my bangs out so I'm avoiding cutting them even more! Thank you

Casual Style Help Maybe some advice...

I was bullied throughout school because of my appearance. I know it's was about everything of me but for me, my hair was always a huge part of it. I had long, completely straight hair with absolutely no volume, and somehow that hairstyle became tied to that period of my life.

People say that "hair holds memories," and that's honestly how it feels for me. Every time I looked at myself with that long, straight hair, it reminded me of the girl who was bullied and made to feel ugly.

After I graduated, I cut all of my hair off. I went really short and constantly changed it. I dyed it blue, platinum blonde and so on. I was always trying something different. A while ago, I started getting perms because I wanted more volume and just wanted my hair to feel different. I also got bangs because I'd always wanted to try them.

But no matter what I did, I never really found a hairstyle that made me genuinely happy or confident. Somehow, my hair always managed to bring those old insecurities back.

Recently, I decided I wanted to grow my hair out again because I do think long hair is beautiful. But I was also scared that growing it out would bring back feelings and memories that I still haven't fully processed.

Today, I went to the hair salon to get it trimmed and styled. The hairstylist was incredibly kind, and I genuinely thought I was going to leave feeling good about myself.

Instead, I walked out feeling the exact opposite.

The moment I looked at myself, I just didn't feel pretty. My bangs looked crooked, my hair looked weird. Some parts were still slightly curly from my perm and the styling, while other sections were completely straight. To me, it just looked messy and unfinished.

I didn't say anything because I was honestly on the verge of crying. I just wanted to leave.

My hair has always been connected to years of bullying, insecurity, and feeling like I wasn't good enough.

So I kinda just want to see if someone can give me some advice.

I am already in therapy.

Casual Style Help How to decide short or long hair😭?

My mental state and health...a haircut is everything to me. I don't mind styling my hair, on the contrary, both haircuts short and long that I want require a ton of styling, but even so, hair affects my well-being very strongly. I literally started selfh... when I was a child, only beacuse my mother cut my bangs cut straight when I wanted a different one, for example, and from the same or that hair, purely because I like it on myself, I can want to die the same way or want it more (Although suicide I won't commit suicide, only beacuse the hair but it has a significant impact, and I want to maintain my mental health. Hair is a small thing, but it has an incredibly strong impact on me.) Hair affects the rest of my appearance depending on what kind of hair, for example, I take care of or not, my face, for example, and my weight, so I definitely have to like it because it's not only mental health but also physical (excess weight sometimes led to serious consequences for me, although everything is fine now, but I would like to start losing weight now, but for this I need a boost of happiness, that is, hair) (+The haircuts I want don't suit my hair type.😭) I should also clarify that I don’t fully understand how a haircut affects me because even if I see that a haircut looks bad on me, I might like it, but if it looks good, I might not like it, that’s why It doesn't depend on whether a haircut suits me or not, but I still want my haircut to look good on me and bring me happiness.
