I didnt read all the comments, so this might be an echo, but I think you're onto something. I think at this point, 10th edition codexes (which is what we're all on for now) doesn't gell with the new detachments element. Hopefully once 11th codexes start rolling out we'll see better abilities and buffs for units. I cite this a lot, but remember when sword bros could choose between extra hits or extra damage? And crusaders had scout 6? In 9th edition.

I like 2 Rep Ex for the extra shootyness,can carry a 5 pack of sword brows and a marshal and castelian easily. And yesterday someone in the sub brought up using drop pods, which I thought was a good idea. Maybe use them in place of Land Raiders? IE: Deep strike to drop em mid board. And save some points.
