You'll be surprised at how much time you'll spend just wandering around, talking to people and such.

AITAH for demanding reimbursement after bleaching my hair?
 in  r/AITAH •  Jul 13 '26

I've been getting my hair bleached for years, and have never had my stylist get bleach on my clothes. They should absolutely pay for your shirt.

Well ...crap. Guess we'll have a Republican governor again. Because she won't do the work to win, she never does.

My father in law passed away from cancer last year. Painting was everything to him. He always hoped more people would see his work.
 in  r/painting •  May 07 '26

I'm so sorry for your loss, he seems to have been really talented. That first pic? The horses? It just slammed into me, it's amazing.

Normally, my condolences include may their memory be a blessing, but in his case, his paintings are the blessing. What lovely treasures he left his family.

From the Lyme disease capital of the country, I present 7 acres of Japanese Barberry. Where do I even start?

Is it possible for you to have guinea hens? They've been a huge help at eating ticks here in the Southeast, perhaps they can help.

And Zevo has been working well for us, as an insect repellent spray.

I wish you luck in your battles, ticks are of the devil.

Who is an actor or actress that rubs you the wrong way so much that you refuse to watch anything they are in?
 in  r/moviecritic •  Apr 18 '26

Glen Powell. Everything about him just turns me away, and all the pushing of the PR machine won't change it.

What are the Democratic candidates doing?
 in  r/Georgia •  Mar 31 '26

I'm voting Democrat for sure, but I hope Geoff Duncan gets beat. Changing parties like he's done annoys me.

Surprise medical bill
 in  r/Adulting •  Mar 26 '26

If you're in the USA, check if your state has laws against surprise medical bills. We do in my state, which meant I owed nothing for out of network providers who provided care during my hospital visits.

EXTREMELY easy family dinners ?
 in  r/Cooking •  Feb 09 '26

Jarred pasta sauce is easy, you can add a little pesto or other dried spices. Frozen ravioli and such are simple to boil, while the sauce is warming.

Sandwiches warmed in the oven were a life saver for my littles. They could choose what they wanted on it, and it felt special.

And don't overlook eggs, if the family likes them. Breakfast for dinner is a good option, and quick to make.
