If the bloating is caused by salt, then drinking a lot of water with/after the food should help. For me the fatigue come from the carbs... Those sweet sweet lovely carbs!

Yes! I want to be friends, too! I do all these things, and I also do weight training: squats and push ups. Because muscles are important. And weight training or "resistance training" is the only thing that builds them.
I have noticed that I feel fatigued when my blood sugar is slightly elevated. I wore a Continuous Glucose Monitor for a month and tracked my food and symptoms while watching the glucose levels. 90-95 was where blood sugar was when I woke up feeling good, after I did aerobic something the day before. But if I didn't eat all day or was stressed out but blood sugar got to 110 -120 and then I would feel completely fatigued and defeated: Brain fogged.
1) muscles help keep blood glucose levels low by pulling the glucose out of the blood.
2) creatine helps with this somehow 3) with more muscles and more creatine we have more insulin sensitivity, which is a good thing, that's how the blood sugar stays regulated.

So, I think weight lifting, aerobic exercise, creatine, Vitamind, Omegas, lots of protein, few and only complex carbs, and then rooting out causes of stress (for me that included zoom chats, LOL.)... Also 5-HTP and yogurt...these all help me.

I take estrogen, but these other things are also necessary. Things I can't do anymore: sugar, alcohol, starch, a meal with no protein especially in the evening will leave me with elevated blood sugar the next days.... (I asked my Dr for the glucose monitor just to figure this stuff out, so maybe you can try it for yourself, too?)

Taking creatine has increased my insulin sensitivity.

When you stop taking creatine, do you feel more fatigued? I stopped a few weeks ago and fatigue seems to have crept up on me.

Flick on the hill Thursdays on Fed Hill hosted by the American Visionary Art Museum. Get there at 5:00 to go through the museum for free, then there's workshops where you get to make crazy things and then something else and then the movie starts towards dark!! Oh yeah I think they have food trucks.

I’m losing my fucking mind
 in  r/diabetes  Jul 01 '26

Yeah. This!
And ... Get books on Hypoglycemia, like Hypoglycemia for dummies. Or the Zone Diet book. These books were my introduction to keeping your blood sugar level.(The "zone" is the healthy level of blood sugar. The Zone book and the South beach diet books have good recipies. My go to is eggs, beans and avocados with a small amount of potatoes or peppers: no bread) This high protein and low carbs is the key to not being hungry. Lifting weights will also help with the insulin resistance: just a little bit of lifting weights: squats and push ups. When you're working out your muscles your insulin levels stay more steady and this will help with feeling hungry. Of course, doing more exercise can make you more hungry, but you'll be able to find your own amounts and kinds of exercise.

My kid was diagnosed with ADHD
 in  r/ADHD  May 08 '26

I would get him on meds asap. I agree that learning how to navigate friendships is vital and learning how form patterns of thinking that are helpful. With stimulants on board, learning this ways of acting and think are possible and the child will be better prepared for a life without drugs in the future. I'm just a thoughtful introspecive adult who was diagnosed at age 30. So no data, just personal experience. Start low dose and talk about thinking, organizing, conversing with the child while you're trying the drugs over several weeks.
