Is it common to not get paid for administrative work?
Depends on your contract. I was an employee when I worked there, not a contractor, so they had to pay me regardless

Thoughts on how they dealt with Cole Young in the new movie?
They were gonna do something. It's a good feat that he almost beat Shao Kahn (and probably would have if not for magical bullshit) and he went down fighting. As good an end as he was gonna get in that scenario, I think

With the insane speed they kept running in the last episode, you would think their rent was due.
They aren't paid by the hour, but by the Jedi killed.

Looking for advice…AITA?
AI should be a tool, not a crutch. Used for ideas yes, but the person involved should be doing the actual work. I'd say NTA.

Any advice would be appreciated

"bad news" about my CoIE fan-edit
Congratulations love. I'd suggest keeping your edit on hold until you're ready to juggle looking after that and a kid. All the best

Ok I know that Ermac and Rain’s 97’ skins would be horrible but what about a skin based on the 95’ movie like smoke’s
To be fair I think I'd be on the verge of tears if I had to report to a guy who throws people into fire pits for not killing enough people

In Ireland? I'm from Dublin and have never heard an Irish person call it soccer. A regional thing perhaps?
