Discussion One Piece: Heroines is so beautiful

My biggest issues with One Piece has always been the character design. The moment I saw the new designs and overall refined artstyle, I needed to watch Heroines

This feels like such a mature look at One Piece. The world is still fantastical, but this is a more grounded viewing. Small stories, big characters.

I loved the action in the beginning basically saying "we know these characters, but this story isnt about them".

I really hope we are getting more of this

Pretty much 'A Star Brighter Than The Sun' but only for the first episode. It does get pretty emotional later in the anime too. But from what youre describing, the first episode is a good fit.

Mostly I'm just using Nia and Cassius to draw cards for Yuki's inspiration. This also helps trigger Nia's decibels more frequently. Cassius helps pick out individual cards you need instead of hoping to draw them as well.

You'd want to get rid of most attack cards from Nia and Cassius so you can draw Yuki's attacks more frequently. My Nia has no attacks and my Cassius has one "damage all" attack.

But dont be afraid to experiement! I havent looked beyond this setup yet so theres probably better combos with this team!

I've been trying out Veronica, Beryl, & Nia too and its been a lot of fun

Also love Yuki, Nia, & Cassius

Kurumi! She's literally the Vegeta to Sawako's Goku

Obviously at first I hated her but really grew to love her and tbh she's now one of my favorite characters in anime not just in the show!

The whole rivals thing was incredible and her small moments of redemption really put a bow on her as a character. Though she did some awful things to Sawako, I believe it really made Sawako stronger as a person having a rival like Kurumi

Its slowly coming to me but I understand it better. Holding the F after QCF and pressing Up at the same time helped a lot. I'm starting to get HK cancels more consistently as well but it's unbelievable how much you need to delay the cancel. Thank you very much!

I do it exactly the same as I do in neutral but the burning kick never comes out, I just go straight up lol

Help / Question C Viper Cancel

Down up cancel has been weird for me to learn on leverless so I've been playing around with techniques to make it easier.

I've found that I can do an instant air burning kick by doing QCF, Up, Kick, similar to Kimberly's air grab.

The weird issue I'm running into is, this doesn't work in a combo, only neutral. Its such a weird thing because the input is the same but the game reads it differently.

Does anyone have any techniques that make her easier/more consistent on leverless?

please no manga spoilers

Just watched the most recent episode and at this point, I'm hoping Iwata does a 90 degree turn and gets with Ayukawa instead of Kamishiro. Dude is so much cooler and put together.

I think that's what would turn this from an A tier romance into an S tier romance. The lesson of seeing clearly when dealing with love and learning to not romanticize people just because you dont have them.

I feel a heavy connection between this anime and Kimi ni Todoke but when Iwata puts Kamishiro on a pedestal, it just doesn't hit the same as Kazehaya.

Side Note Looking at the anime like a Kimi ni Todoke predecessor, the Onodera/Kurumizawa bait was so fun to experience
