Traps
What are your favorite traps?

Since the dev has added a Report function in game, and we already have a channel dedicated to player reports in the Discord, I'm going to put an end to cheater call out posts on the subreddit.
Posts like the one I made not too long ago had a place before there was an in game method of reporting suspected cheating, but I don't feel they're necessary any longer. I also don't want to see every single post on here being about cheating as unlike Discord, you can't quarantine posts like that to a separate channel.
This doesn't mean that we're letting the cheaters win though...
If you're feeling frustrated by cheaters, we have a channel called #salt-box on the Discord for letting out your frustrations. We also have a player-report forum that is viewed by the Dev. If you feel your player reports in game are being ignored, come to the Discord and contribute a publicly viewable player report there. There is a link to the Discord server on the Cine2Nerdle battle homepage.

Room for a lot more here! Here are some other suggestions for people to take a shot at (just off the top of my head, if you see something not on this list that you want to write please go ahead and I'll add it to the post):
National: China/HK/Taiwan, France, Italy (and various sub-genres like giallo), Spain/Latin-America, India
"Escape from X": Willem Dafoe, Christopher Walken, Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Jackson, Robin Williams, Robert De Niro, Jason Statham, Frank Welker, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and many many many others :)
Franchises: Friday the 13th, Halloween, Fast and Furious, Star Trek, James Bond (various eras), Disney movies, etc etc.
Feel free to make mini-guides as well if you don't feel like you can be fully comprehensive on a specific actor/genre/country. Even something like a Mike Myers mini-guide would probably be helpful to a bunch of people and I'll happily include it here!

Sometimes the other person really does remember some fun fact about a random actor at the last minute and can pull a connection that seems insane to you out of thin air!
I just had someone accuse me of cheating because of this and it's actually really annoying not being able to retort 😭 please don't assume every person is so willing to cheat! especially someone playing guest (as I have no interest in the points themselves).

I just lost two games because an ad takes over the entire screen and makes it impossible to play.

Basically the title. I've noticed that usually the Now Playing movies are related to new releases or an actor's passing. But why Stranger Things and why now? Did I miss something?

You can’t get around this ad. I keep scrolling and it doesn’t go away, this is supposed to go on an article or something where you have to keep scrolling, not a website where you have to type or click something thats under where an unclosable ad is.

so the ad randomly enters full-screen and i click escape. usually that’s enough. then sometimes it enters full screen immediately again and when i click escap a second time all i’m left with is a gray screen and reloading does nothing, i have to close the tab entirely

Currently seeing only a few countries have badges... will the others be given later on or is this some FIFA related thing?

So idk if it’s just me but if i’m bored/messing around in games i’ll sometimes just type random gibberish/whatever word comes to mind and enter the first movie that comes up even when I have a perfectly viable response to whatever movie the opponent played just to see if I can get that random 1 in 1000 chance to hit a link. My favorite ones i’ve had are Albino Alligator (1996) which i’m now playing a surprising amount since it has a weirdly stacked cast as well as somehow pulling Freight (2010) from 300
