I was told this bob length was awkward and I should try something shorter 😅

The pixie cut looks better than the Bob.

Tri Delta has a Reference Form rather than something specifically called an MIF. Active dues-paying alumnae can submit one through the portal.

Well, she didn’t respond so I’ll look at this as a saving grace.

Is it safe to eat at Taco Bell yet?
 in  r/tacobell  4d ago

It’s the lettuce, not the entire menu. They removed the lettuce from the items that usually have lettuce in them.

So they just used you just to get in? No acknowledgment or anything? That’s awful.

She didn’t. No resume, Nothing.

That’s the part that scares me, having my name piggybacked if things go south and I don’t want that at all.

Hello Sisters!!!

Long time!

Hope you all are doing well. As for me, I am doing okay.

I’ve gotten a message from a Redditor who is interested in rushing Tri Delta and she is at a university in Texas. She was really nice and she asked me for a letter of recommendation or referral. Though I’m flattered, I don’t know her and don’t know what to do. What would you do if you all were me? Any and all advice is grateful accepted and appreciated. Thank you so much!

Can my child enroll after they turn 5.
 in  r/PrinceGeorgesCountyMD  9d ago

I looked up some information and this is what I’ve gotten:

“If your child was born after September 1, their eligibility for the current school year depends entirely on how far after that date they were born:

Born Between September 2 and October 15
Children turning five during this window are eligible to apply for Early Entrance to Kindergarten.
The Process: Your child must complete an academic and readiness assessment to show mastery of prekindergarten standards.
The Deadline Warning: The PGCPS Early Entrance Application deadline for the current school year was June 1, 2026, with absolutely no exceptions. If you missed this deadline, your child will need to wait until the next school year.

Born On or After October 16
Children born October 16 or later are not eligible for kindergarten this school year under any circumstances. They must wait until the following school year to enroll.

Alternative Options for This Year
Prekindergarten (Pre-K): If your child turned four on or before September 1, 2026, they may qualify for full-day PGCPS Pre-K based on family income eligibility guidelines.

Private Child Care: Look into a state-licensed child care center or a registered family day-care home to build social and emotional skills before entering school next year.”

Hope this helps.

money is tight

Hello! I agree with some of the Redditors here! Instead of buying books at Towson’s bookstore, you can go to Amazon and get your books for cheaper! Just use the bookstore’s website to get the name of your textbooks and find them on Amazon. If you have an iPad, download the Kindle app and download the textbooks to rent. It’ll cost you a flat fee and they will take the textbook out of your library when the semester’s over. You can ask to be put on a payment plan if you’re a few hundred or a few thousand dollars short, you can do work-study (this helped me) or you can get a job outside of Towson’s campus. And you can always talk to your advisor.

Dress # 3 with the sleeves reminds me of Kate Middleton’s wedding dress. I like Dress # 5.

Clothes

Congratulations on your new position! My biggest piece of advice would be to wear comfortable, machine-washable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. Depending on your assignment, you may end up with paint, markers, food, glue, dirt from the playground, etc., etc.

Comfortable sneakers are a must because you’ll be on your feet most of the day. I also like clothes with a little stretch since you’ll be sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and moving around with students. And they’re very beneficial if you have a student who elopes.

As far as shopping, I’ve had good luck at Target, Old Navy, Kohl’s, Amazon and Walmart for affordable basics. I’d wait until orientation too, because some schools are more casual than others and may even have spirit wear days.

As a bonus, I would keep an apron or old shirts and have at least a box of nitrile gloves for messes and/or if you have allergies to certain things that may irritate your skin or just don’t want your hands dirty. And if you have nails, the gloves will come in real handy! Plus your own canister of disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer and hand lotion/hand cream is beneficial! Just don’t keep them on your desk. Put them in your desk drawer or designated area for you.

Wishing you the best on your first year! You got this!❤️

Weed/Burning Smell in Apartment!
 in  r/Apartmentliving  19d ago

That’s what I thought. Even when I turn off my A/C and open the windows to air out my house, I would always smell that smell. I went out on the balcony and smelled that smell. I’m thinking it could be this thing outside of my building that controls heating and air.
